What if Miami beats you?

I mean Meyer lost 31-3 to a 10-2 Bama team (about on par with last years LSU and UGA teams) and 30-22 to a 7-5 South Carolina team. Are those losses somehow better because they were on the road? Who cares. Urban also only beat one team on the road all year, a 3-8 UK team. So using this logic he couldn’t win anywhere away from home.

And this was with a team predicted to go to the SEC Championship that year. So he actually underachieved losing 3 games. I remember all the meltdowns about how his offense wouldn’t work. Nothing but revisionist history.

If I recall, that 31-3 loss was the first time in like 20 years that Florida didn't score a touchdown in a game.

I also remember that Meyer had too many me. In the field on special teams (his pride and joy) in what cost us the game to Spurrier.

Mullen is the worst. He can't even lose to South Carolina like Meyer did. He'll never win here.

Pitiful little attention beggar, kinda sad really, but here ya go,,, yet again.
Here to foul up yet another thread with his always village idiot smelly crap.
BothTotally Clueless and Boring is any ugly combination.

Never need to read his posts, because they are always going to be,,, what they are, and what he will always be. This asswipe stalker arrives to spread his usual crap, and to be the lonely despised drunk loser that he is...

There once was a goater named dunny,
who was always trying to be funny.
But with his head up his butt,

Man you've really missed me.

Did Spurrier and Meyer take over the program in as bad of a shape as it was? That’s one of those facts that are what they are but don’t really tell much. We beat LSU at home, beat a really good MSU team on the road, and spanked Michigan in a bowl game. Mullen also beat more ranked teams his first year than Meyer or Spurrier did. Context matters.

Spurrier did probably with about the same talent comparatively to 2018.. Meyer did have better talent than what we have now.

Streak? We are 1-1 vs Miami the last two games.

Correct, I for some reason always forget about our win. It must be that Sugar Bowl beat down in the'01, that ended the Spurrier regime messing with my memory.

I wouldn't mind forgetting about that one. I looked up and saw we had a seven game winning streak over them in the 70s.

Yeah they smacked us around pretty good in that Sugar Bowl. They should have been playing in the championship game that year.

But that wasn't Spurs last horray. His last game was the Orange Bowl beat down on Maryland when Brock Berlin started and Rex Grossman played lights out the 2nd half after serving a 1st half curfew suspension.

I agree, they beat us in the off field fight before the game too.

Funny thing is the only thing I remember about Spurrier leaving and coaching the Redskins is that awesome NFL 2K3 game where he was in the intro.. Being in middle school at the time, I logged some time playing that game.

Had Florida ran the ball more often instead of throwing the ball to prove a point, the game would have probably still been a loss but much closer. UF threw 3 int's to Miami's 2 ints: both defenses were great that year. Earnest Graham was just gashing the Hurricanes defense for huge gains; Graham had 1 TD (15-136 yards) in a losing effort in that 2001 Sugar Bowl.

https://allstatesugarbowl.org/classic/2001-game-recap/

That was a strange game. Both Jesse Palmer & Grossman had each thrown for one touchdown a piece; however, Miami's Dorsey rallied Miami with 3 TD passes in the 3rd/4th qrts to seal the win.

Right before halftime, Spurrier passed up a chance to go for a FG at the Miami 26 and instead RG threw an int pass. UF went into halftime trailing 7-13 instead of just being down 10-13. The game may have been closer had SOS made more rash decisions. In the 3rd quarter, Florida would get a brief lead 17-13 after Dorsey got picked off for 7 points but Miami's talented team contained Florida's passing game for the 37-20 win.

...and the funny thing is...there is not one game on our schedule this year that sadgator wouldn’t trade to see us beat those sumbitches....

If the clock reads double zeros and we are ahead of Miami by 1 point, sadgator will probably have an involuntary orgasm on the spot.

Georgia? Come on MAN! I’m old school as I actually went to the games vs. SCUM back in Tampa at the old Sombrero and I despise Miami but, my hate is worse for the Nutt lickers and WILL ALWAYS be worse for The Girls school up North.

We need to get rid of this Miami hex we have on us since the annual games ended. The 2003 meltdown, the 2013 Driskeling special and just bad luck in general. Heck even in the one win in 08 crazy mess was happening that first half where we couldn't get going at first despite having Miami totally outmanned in that national championship year.

I am not as nervous as you due to their O line but do think this game might not be as easy as some think. I would take a 1 point OT win now if it was offered.

We better at least have close to 2/3 of that stadium or their fans will be a mess.
Our O line is going to struggle against their defense, there's no other way to say it. No matter how good this rebuilt line may get this year, the strength of this UM team is their defensive front and we are going to suffer for it.

The good news is, THEIR O line will struggle playing against air. Even if we only score 10 points, I fully expect that to be far more than they score. I will be surprised if they can even figure out getting 11 players on the field on offense for each snap of the ball thats just how bad they are on offense.

The amazing thing is, you simply CANNOT find a ticket to this game for under approx. $200. With resale market fees on like stubhub and similar sites, you’re paying well in excess of $500 for a pair of tickets to this game.

If you are a gator fan paying that much to go to witness this game...you are a sucker...

Walk around the stadium... $40 a ticket

The Gator offense consists of 11 men at a time on the field. o_O

Their defense is going to struggle mightily against Dan's offense all night.

See, there is another way to both look at it, and to say it...

You can’t scalp a ticket like that anymore with etickets and web-based resale. It ain’t 1999 anymore...

I do it sometimes...not for the seats but just to resell them for more before i go in

I feel like attending just to stir shit up. Might throw a football at someones cookout and then point to the rivalry cookout next to it. The key is to find that 1 drunk guy who wont back down and then make sure that he knows the other team thinks hes scum. Gunna be a fun night for me
You bastard, hahaha.

They are scoundrels and thieves...they absconded with our property and refuse to return it. We should never have agreed to play them again until they offered it up as collateral...and we should never again...sadgator honestly believes this.
It seriously has been one of the most dastardly and dishonorable acts of fraud and deceit between two rival teams in the history of the NCAA. sadgator is genuinely surprised that it doesn’t get more National attention. Also, sadgator is ashamed of our administration office for not making a bigger deal out of it over the years. It is part of the reason the cosmic football Gods have allowed Miami to dominate the series lately. We have passively allowed this to happen....and we need that fvcking canoe back under our dominion and control!!!!!!! We need to beat them and insist upon it’s return!!!!!!!!! sadgator is absolutely serious...this issue has honestly kept sadgator up at night...no shit...

Give them a break. The UF Admin. were busy getting their butts handed to them in court by the YAF over their obvious discrimination against the young conservatives. Besides, nobody else really gives a shit about some ratty canoe.

The lawsuit ended with them having to pull out their check book and write a rather large check to those young 'right thinking' citizen-students. o_O

The university issued a statement in regards to the lawsuit, said UF spokesperson Steve Orlando. -- “UF and YAF have reached a mutually agreeable resolution of the lawsuit after determining it was in the interests of both parties to do so,” the statement said. (translation - We got spanked and they walked away with their lawyer expenses paid and a fist full of $$$)

That's a cowards mealy-mouthed way of admitting that they were at fault and got their butts kicked in court, so they finally paid their over-due bill for their liberal/socialist supporting policies.

“Their former policies did not uphold the values of the marketplace of ideas at the University of Florida,” Dalton said.

For the rest of the story you can go here, or to any of the other stories written on this abuse of equal rights and free speech by the UF Admin. o_O

You realize the truth of it is that they simply don't care, and probably don't know it's a thing.

Hell, there's likely a large percentage of our fan base that

A. Don't know that the trophy exists because....it's rather obscure and the series has only been intermittently played over the last 30 years

And

B. You're the only one who has a hard-on for this seminal canoe.

I feel the Miami game should be a win for UF and it would continue the catapult for you guys by stomping on the canes(which i think will happen)...but what if you lose? Does that change your perception on Mullen? Your expectations? I feel like UF has ALL the momentum right meow

Florida 1-0 and
The girls school out West in Tallahassee is
SADLY 0-1.
