Well you fla guys wont like it

Someone else on the Blue Board stated "Bob Stoops is coming home."
Who knows. All these teams seem to be doing a pretty good job of not spilling the beans about what's happening.

I do know this: OU having a job opening isn't good news for UF, Tennessee or LSU. But I'm sure Napier and Kiffin love it.

Looks like UF moved fast to lock down Napier. And Kiffin is on Twitter trolling LSU LOL Sounds like Kiffin and Sexton have decided to stay at Ole Miss and see what their options are next year.

LSU could end up being odd man out. A botched hire coming after Orgeron would be tough for any AD to survive.

Weird position for Tennessee to be in with Heupel. First year, but they may have to renegotiate his contract and give him a raise to keep him.

Let's say OU gets desperate and throws the house at Heupel, offers him $8M a year. That's double his Tennessee salary. Do you give the guy a massive raise coming off a 7-5 season?

Tough call either way. Love the hiring and firing season in the SEC.

No, UT will not pay any coach 8 mil a year for going 7&5. They never gave Johnny Majors a raise after 15 years.

Stoops might be interim only for a bowl game. OU might have interest in Mark Stoops at Kentucky or the Iowa State coach. It seems these two coaches squeeze some success out of 2 star players.

Yeah, ole jimbo with Free Sex U kinda ruined any respect they may have had.
I mean, don't forget Jameis getting arrested for stealing food from Publix.

Think about that: Your starting QB is arrested for shoving crab legs down his pants. The leader of the team. Massive black eye for Jameis and for Jimbo for making him the leader of the team.

And uninformed thinks a kicker botching a kickoff is what's embarrassing about FSU? LOL

Don't forget Jamesis allegedly raped a girl while his boy filmed it on his camera.
Didn't he also yell "F&*k her in the p#$$y" in the miiddle of campus.

LSU hires Brian Kelly from ND. Wow second huge hire this week that no one saw coming.

Now we get to see who ND gets.

I'm hoping Pete Golding announces next week he's taken another job. With Coach O, Pruitt and Muschamp all potentials for Bama at DC, can't hold onto a kid learning on the job.

Cornpone has a show cause strike against him, so I believe it will be several years before he can even coach in college football again. I could be wrong though.

Kelly will pass Saban briefly.
  • Nick Saban, Alabama: $9,753,221 — No. 1
  • Ed Orgeron, LSU: $9,012,917 — No. 2
  • Dan Mullen, Florida: $7,570,000 — No. 6
  • Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M: $7,500,000 — No. 7
  • Kirby Smart, Georgia: $7,133,600 — No. 8
  • Mark Stoops, Kentucky: $5,263,600 — No. 15
  • Bryan Harsin, Auburn: $5,000,000 — No. 19
  • Mike Leach, Mississippi State: $5,000,000 — No. 20
  • Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss: $4,841,937 — No. 21
  • Josh Heupel, Tennessee: $4,000,000 — No. 35
  • Eli Drinkwitz, Missouri: $4,000,000 — No. 36
  • Sam Pittman, Arkansas: $2,925,000 — No. 54
  • Shane Beamer, South Carolina: $2,750,000
If Kirby gets a NC he will probably get a huge raise.

Just googled it and it said Kelly's annual pay will be $9.5M.

I've said all along they could double Saban's salary and it would still be a bargain.

Not really....CFB and sports have plateaued (IMO), if anything it is all downhill from here. When Saban took over and remodeled the way you run a program it was quickly snatched up by espn and their greedy ways to vilify the universities/NCAA rules and act as if they are the athletes' proponents. But, in actuality, they represent greed/mammon. These things that are placed at the altar before God will be crushed.

I'm talking pure economic investment. The football program's success under Saban has been worth hundreds of millions of dollars to the University, the city of Tuscaloosa, even the state of Alabama and the SEC. Every year. The Tuscaloosa News reported in Saban's first year in Tuscaloosa, the city itself realized an additional $25 million in revenue for each home game. That was in 2007, you imagine what that number is in 2021.

He likely brings in 50X his salary every year, all revenue streams considered. This is why I am a bit surprised that coaching salaries haven't accelerated much more than they have. Saban should be making $15M a year right now, and that should be dictated by the market.

Stoops has won at least 7 games 5 out of the last 6 seasons.

Seems like it's rewarding mediocrity. I would have said hit 9 wins, you get 2 more years and an automatic raise.

It’s a winning season, arguably a notch above mediocrity.

It wouldn’t fly at Bama, but I think Kentucky fans appreciate having a consistently respectable program that doesn’t get pounded 3 out of every 4 games like they did for most of several decades before Stoops.

Again, they have hit 7 wins a year for 5 of the last 6 seasons.

For instance, they are 9-3 right now. Win a bowl and they finish 10-3.

Next year he could go 7-5, and get an extension. Lose 3 more games, get rewarded.

Fine line between rewarding a coach for performance, and incentivizing the program to stand pat.

Hey Choke-la-homo Swooner with his head-nailed-to-da-flor,,, I guess your Ole Riley Coyote decided that he can't compete in the SEC, so he went home with his QB to the patsy competition in the LAC 12.

If you love watching slo-mo trainwrecks, Miami football is about to give you an 80s SMU-style one.

Looks like they are about to fire Manny Diaz and get Mario Cristobol.

And guess what? They don't have an AD either:

So who is running the Miami football program right now? The boosters and alumni.

A few weeks ago this same group sent a list of demands to then coach Manny Diaz. One of them was 'let us evaluate the recruits'.

Putting aside the fact that Cristobol is an average coach at best, this move has disaster written all over it.

The boosters and alumni got a coach they thought they could control, and they will get an AD they think they can control.

The results will be predictable. Get ready for a show.

Don't you just love Cristobal's impressive record at FIU? Oooooohhhhhh!
27-47 to go with his overall record of 62-60.

He's a 5-star recruiter and 3-star coach.

Can you imagine him putting together his list of recruits at MIami and having to get Michael Irvin or Ray Lewis to sign off on them before he can offer anyone?

Gonna be fun to watch.
