If you were an old timer like me, this is a pretty cool PDF. It is the Monday edition of the Independent Florida Alligator on the Monday after homecoming weekend in 1974. This was my first fall at UF and my first Gator Growl. The hosts were not such a big name back then. The performer for this growl was Jim Stafford. I actually remember this editon of the paper as well as everything that’s described in the homecoming and football summary sections. From the crowning of the homecoming, queen to passing your date up the stands in the football stadium. it also has a lot of what was going on at UF at the time and some of what was going on in the state at the time. Some of the ads also bring back some memories. Anyway, it’s fun to scroll through and relive some great times at UF.
