Honestly we shouldn't be throwing stones about fan attendance considering what Muschamp and Mcelnuts did to our own attendance over the past 7 years. Even for as good as Dan did in 2018, I don't remember seeing any games where we filled that stadium. Not even the LSU game.
Unfortunately we may have so many entitled fans that that might not happen unless we win the SEC championship which is truly sad as I could do without the bandwagon fans.

It's been discussed before that has more to do with the convenience of staying home and watching the games these days as opposed to the hassle and cost of going to a game.
It's affecting most places now.
Part of that is the aging population too. It takes a lot of energy to go all the way to Gainesville and sit out in the sun all day. I'm draggin ass the next couple of days after that. Much easier to sit at home, then you can see other games, and be able to mow the lawn Saturday morning (because you aren't prepping to head out and so have time), stay awake in church the next day, function coherently at work Monday, etc.
