None of those 3 are a good comp. Young and Cam were taller and lankier, he's shorter and stouter. But he's not built like Tebow.

He has 3" and 15 lbs on Lamar.

Same weight as VY but 2" shorter.

Measurements are closer to Steve McNair but doesn't pass as good as Air McNair (yet)*

Close in height to Charlie Ward but much much bigger.

Honestly to me he is the near the same height and weight as Tebow but hasn't had to be as physical because he is more elusive.


2 to 3 inches shorter than Cam and 15 or so pounds lighter.

Close to height as Steve Young but 15 pounds heavier of more muscle.

I say he is a little mix of a lot of them but leaning towards being his own self.

I believe if he needed to be physical he definitely could be but with his speed and elusiveness he doesn't have to be.

I do agree the play calling was not good in that game but unless he improves Richardson is no Cam Newton and nothing in his past playing time so far suggests he will get to that point but I am still holding out hope he can become a good QB at least. Looking at every play Richardson has passed in his time here almost all the big passing plays were when things were easy and you didn't have to hit your backup options that werent wide open. I think KY saw something in that GA game that led them to that strategy of not letting him roll to his right without some pressure containing him. Cam Newton also had way better instincts when it was time to take off to either run or buy that extra time to scan the field to try and find a target somewhere.
