I caught up with 2017 Rivals100 DB Deon Jones yesterday after Florida State's camp. The entry in my recruiting notebook is below and the video interview is linked.
UCLA was the latest school to add their name to Rivals100 defensive back Deon Jones' long offer sheet. At Florida State on Thursday, the Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll junior said he learned a lot from defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and the Seminoles helped themselves. Jones visited Florida on Wednesday and liked the facilities and meeting the coaches. He is close with Gator standout Jalen Tabor and trained with him when Tabor was still in high school. Auburn is in very good position with Jones because he likes the family vibe and is close with defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson. Jones might visit West Virginia before the end of the month and is hoping to get back to Alabama soon.
