Very Critical Article on Our Athletics Director

Socialist-U and their UAA have a MONSTER buy-out in the offing....
What's it going to coat them to buy-out all 3 (Stricklin-Napier-Golden) at the same time???

It should strike any reader of his bio, that of all the championships that “have been added to the mantle during his tenure,” not a single one was added by a coach that Stricklin himself hired.

To summarize: the coaches he hires that don’t end up abusing their athletes wind up losing more games than they win. The Gators have a man in charge of their athletic department who is capable of standing in a torrential downpour and telling people that it’s a sunny day.

All eleven national titles won by the Florida Gators in various sports since Stricklin’s arrival have been won by coaches hired by Jeremy Foley*.

In the iG OHO, the reason that Mullen went the way he did after going 10-3 and 11-2 his first 2 seasons, was due to Stricklin's incompetence as the AD, not due to any coaching or recruiting deficiency on Dan's part....

We weren't real contenders those 1st 2 years and leftover defense was the best part of the team and then he struck gold with Trask who he mostly refused to play until forced to. He also didn't recruit Trask.

I know some don't like Jeremy Foley, but just for comparison purposes, consider these facts:
During Foley's last 5 years as AD, Florida won 56 SEC championships and 12 National Titles. During Scott Stricklin's first 5 years, UF won 30 SEC titles and 6 National championships. Huge difference in results.

sadgator’ll be honest, he actually kind of liked Stricklin early on when he played coy during the whole Chip Kelly thing and then hired Mullen…

But since that time, sadgator has really begun to question his leadership and decision making. Clearly the reason why Mullen is not here is, in large part, due to a personal conflict with Stricklin, that Stricklin could not (or would not) resolve.

Although it’s a bit of a hit piece, the article is correct in its assertion that Stricklin genuinely appears out of touch with the fan base and with what we view as success.

Although upgrades are always welcome, the idea of reducing seating capacity at the Swamp and converting seating to wine and cheese type corporate comfort is a terrible idea. Part of our identity, and part of the charm of the place, is that it is a little uncomfortable, which of course adds to the atmosphere and experience. Changing that dynamic is like swapping out Classic Coca-Cola for New Coke. It isn’t as good as the original and nobody really wants it.

That fact, coupled with Napier bombing out, is going to be this guys’s undoing…
