Scott Stricklin has been "beefing up" our OOC football schedule & its about to hit.
2022, 2023, & 2024 we are still looking for an OOC game; presumably at BHG stadium.

All of this assumes that we actually play college football in 2020.
If there is no CFB (a possibility) does every team just shove their whole schedule back a year ?

USF - (2019 record: 4-8 (2-6 AAC) - UF games -
2021 (Tampa), 2022 & 2025 (G'ville)
Utah - (2019 record: ‎11–3 (8–1 Pac12) - UF games -
2022( G'ville) & 2023 (Utah)
Miami - (2019 record 6-7 (4-4 ACC) - UF games -
2024 (G'ville) & 2025 (Miami)
FSU - (2019 record 6-7 (4-4 ACC) - UF games -
last game of each season - no change.

Don't know how competitive the games will be, but our 2021 schedule should have a lot of state-wide interest with 3 Florida schools - FAU, USF, & FSU all having a 2nd year Head Coach.

I know nothing about Jeff Scott (former Clemson co-offensive coordinator now HC at USF ) or Mike Norvell (former Memphis HFC now at FSU) and damn little about Willie Taggart (now at FAU).

2022 with USF, Utah, & FSU could be tougher than we think.
Kyle Whittingham has been at Utah forever; 10 years as DC;15 years as HC. Scott & Norvell will be in their 3rd year at USF & FSU respectively.

Don't think either one as good as Mullen; but NO ONE expected Dan Mullen to get the results he has gotten his first two years !

2025 with USF, Miami, & FSU could be very tough.
If Scott, Diaz, & Norvell stay & their teams develop.

I would say that, to move every season back, all those contracts would have to be amended. Plus it would reverse all the home and home series, the games you are accustomed to having at home on even years would become odd and vice versa. Easier just to kill off a year.

2020 non conference blows. I thought we added another big name?

Country,

I thought so too; but I guess we had contracts we could not get out of for 2020.

On a positive note, other than FSU (with a coach in his 1st year), no significant OOC games.

In the SEC we drop Auburn for Ole Miss & play LSU at home - perhaps a night game !

If we have a 2020 football season, it could be our best chance (team wise & schedule wise) to get to SECCG in years !

Lizard -
I see your point; if 2020 goes down in flames; no easy solution.

UGA our main opponent for SEC East title.

So, compare Gators' 2020 schedule to Dawgs' -

9/07 – Virginia Cavaliers
9/12 – ETSU Buccaneers
9/19 – Alabama Crimson Tide
9/26 – ULM Warhawks
10/3 – Vanderbilt Commodores
10/10 – Auburn Tigers
10/17 – Missouri Tigers
10/24 – BYE WEEK
10/31 –Florida Gators
11/7 – South Carolina Gamecocks
11/14 – Tennessee Volunteers
11/21 – Kentucky Wildcats
11/28 – Georgia Tech

Games in bold print "Between the Hedges"

IMO, Dawgs - good defense & unknown offense.

OOC - dropped home game with Notre Dame; added neutral site game with UVA.

Virginia, IMO, will not be as good as the team Gators beat in Orange Bowl -

QB Bryce Perkins, who accounted for 78 percent of the total offense in 2019, & Senior wide receivers Joe Reed and Hasise Dubois graduate leaving little offense & an "OK" defense.

SEC - Dawgs drop Texas A&M & add Alabama at Bryant Denny stadium. Many predict "Roll Tide", but IMO, should be a close game;

Heavy losses for both Dawgs & Tide; but both have recruited well.

If Dawgs find an offense, they may win it - depends on Bama's QB play & being able to reload after losing 11 starters.- 7 on defense.

2019 Bama Offensive Starters – Headed to NFL
QB: Tua Tagovailoa (Jr.)
WR: Jerry Jeudy (Jr.)
WR: Henry Ruggs III (Jr.)
OL: Jedrick Wills (Jr.)

2019 Defensive Starters: Exhausted Eligibility
DE: Raekwon Davis
OLB: Anfernee Jennings
S: Jared Mayden
CB: Trevon Diggs
CB: Shyheim Carter

2019 Defensive Starters: Headed To NFL
OLB: Terrell Lewis (R-Jr.)
FS: Xavier McKinney (Jr.)

Good post overall, and not to be picky, but the iG did expect those kinds of results from 'Dan the Man' and I said so here. ;) -- :D

1st Year iG projected an 8-10 win spread.
2nd Year iG projected a 9-11 win spread.
Happy to say that he hit iG's upper end both times with his 2 NY-6 Bowl Wins!

Would love to see the SEC get rid of the married cross over game. One other SEC west game a year besides LSU really limits seeing and playing other teams. Or maybe do like the big 10 and rotate the set team every 4 years.
