UGA vs Alabama Championship Thread

Bama next year is ridiculously loaded.

They had their top two receivers out and two of their top DBs and still had this game in reach. The score certainly doesn't reflect the game (sorry UGA fans but you know it).

they're going to be bringing back a lot of guys that have experience now and should be a beast.

Bama does this, bizarrely, they lose one and then everyone gets that itch and reminds them how good they are and they come back the next year and wreck shit.

Thankfully we don't play them this year.

That’s what my bama friend at work has been harping on all year, how good they’re going to be next year.

Ok, 33-18 isn’t the story. But I can play the injury game. Dawgs were missing George Pickens and Dominic Blaylock all season, the top two WR. Also, Arik Gilbert proved to be a mental case and never played. Ladd McConkey, a 4 ft tall white kid was a starter from Game One. On defense we never got Tykee Smith who transferred from WV due to injury. He was an AA player. Because of that, and injuries to Chris Smith, Dan Jackson played a ton. He’s a former walk-on who is also a 4 ft white kid. Finally, about halfway thru Adam Anderson was lost. He was probably the best edge rusher on the team. But yeah, it was just Bama that dealt with loss.

Here you go again with all this injury crap again. You have injury excuses for when you lose and then you have injury excuses when you win. Geez!! Danny didn’t say anything about the outcome of the game. He just mentioned that Bama is ridiculously loaded next year and that they were missing some key contributors tonight. And FWIW George Pickens played in the Georgia Tech game back at the end of November. And why are you even bother bringing up Arik Gilbert. You should just try enjoying the win and stop whining so much.

Man just enjoy your win. You don’t have to prove you could have beaten the buccaneers with a healthy roster. Jeez.

See this is why you are a perfect example of your ilk.

Any perceived slight you have to go all out against.

Yes, injuries hurt Alabama because of the timing.

Now, the fact that Bryce Young (who myself
And other Bama fans thought were all that) was hitting these young receivers in the hands time-after-time certainly makes a difference. There was no rapport.

And it was obvious to anybody that knows a thing about football.

This is why I pull against Georgia every time, because your fans are the worst.

I can't even compliment Bowers because I think he's great. I do think his build is not going to necessarily translate to the next level, but I love watching him play football.

But see, you Georgia fans sit there and make EVERYTHING frustrating.

Bryce Young played better than I thought he would with the talent left to him.

Stetson Bennett showed up and gave it everything he had, and it worked.

but please, all mighty Georgia fan, continue to be the snarky bitch that you are.

I hate Georgia and never pull for them to win in any sport, anytime. But they were the best football team in the country this year, IMO. Saban is the greatest college football coach of all time, also IMO, and next year they will be back with a vengeance. It will take a tremendous effort to keep them from a national title.

And thats what Gwinnet doesnt understand or want to understand due to his bias.

The key playmakers for bama went down in the championship and SECCG.

All Gwinnet can bring up is nonfactor players(who didnt contribute to the w/l record) who never stepped foot on the field this year. Its not the same thing.

Neither Bama or UGA has the luxury of the excuses of lacking quality players to replace starters. They both are in the top 3 or 5 in recruiting for years.

So, gwinnet's, "4 foot tall" player is absurd.

Now, there is a legit excuse that can be made about the lack of experiance in games. Its a whole nother breed from practices/scrimmages.....and actual games. The players UGA had to use in replacement had a whole year to get used it to it. Bama? Not so much.

At the end of the day, UGA won...and in 5 years nobody outside of bama fans will even care to remember the circumstances.

Grow a thicker skin, gwinnet.

So I read that Bama has had SEVEN guys jump in the portal? Whoa - that was quick.

Also impressive. Consistently there are two...maybe three top teams. Bama, Clemson, and one can argue Ohio State. UGA bookend two consistent top teams.

Yes, it's true Clemson wasn't like the old Clemsons and Bama wasn't the usual Bama. Doesn't matter. They did it and took advantage of the situation. That's worth something.

Still think the are jackasses but quiet impressive jackasses.

We also catch A@M right before their Bama class talent become starters. Still talented but nothing like they will be in 2 years.
