UF Softball 2025

I don't think she wants any accolades. She just wants her team to win. She robbed another home run vs. Texas yesterday, but they still lost both games of a doubleheader. She's having a great senior season, no doubt.
But I nor she has asked for any individual accolades.
I simply said that I wouldn't trade her for any other CF in the Nation.
While she just keeps on quitely proving that she probably is the best....

Not trying to argue with you, man. I agree with everything you said. She should win the CF Gold Glove award. I don't know what other centerfielders have put up her offensive numbers either, but she certainly deserves a lot of consideration for 1st team AA. She got overshadowed last year by Erickson, Wallace, Otis and Walsh, who ALL had phenominal seasons

Gators only got 4 hits off a not very good Jacksonville U team, but still won the game 5-2. Lots of runners stranded, another infield error, but solid pitching from Ava Brown, plus she hit a HR. They've got UNF Thursday night and then have the weekend off,

Gator softball team is not playing up to their potential. Keagan Rothrock hasn't pitched in almost a month, our other pitchers have struggled with control, the defense fielding % is the lowest of the Tim Walton era and a couple of our AA seniors are having less than stellar seasons. Auburn is 0-10 in the SEC and we struggled to beat them last night. But still we're 31-5, 4-3 in the SEC.

Walk off grand slam in the bottom of the night for Korbe Otis, who has been struggling at the plate. Gutty win. Keagan Rothrock pitched probably the worst game since she's been at Florida, but the relivers did enough to get the win, with Ava Brown battling her tail off in the circle.

I finally got to watch the Gator girls today and they looked bad all day until the end. Rothrock got lit up and the SS cant catch a cold. Gutsy comeback win but they better get it together to make a run in the SEC and watching Coach get thrown out of the game I think gave them momentum today. Lagway was at the game

Our softball team is struggling as well. We were picked by many to win the national title this year, but are now only 7-5 in the SEC. The defense is the worst in the Tim Walton era, our offense has really struggled against SEC pitching and without Keagan Rothrock pitching like the ace she was last year and this year until whatever sidelined her a month or so ago, our pitching staff is average at best. Hope they can get Rothrock back soon and right this ship.

Here are some Gator stats for SEC games ONLY:

Team BA - .275, 8th in the conference
Slugging % - .464, 6th in the conference
Runs Scored - 71, erd in the conference
Home Runs - 17, 3rd in the conference
Walks - 59, 2nd most in the conference
Strikeouts - 48, 4th fewest in the conference
Stolen Bases - 6, 10th in the conference
Team ERA - 4.27, 9th in the conference
Opposing Team BA - .267, 8th in the conference
Batters Struck Out - 45, 13th in the conference
Walks allowed - 54, 10th in the conference
Fielding % - .965, 10th in the conference

Kendra Falby is our leading hitter in SEC games at .400, 13th best in the SEC
Reagan Walsh is out 2nd best SEC hitter at .310, Taylor Shumaker is 3rd at .308
Korbe Otis is at .297, Mia Williams at .286, Rylee Holtorf at .258, Kenleigh Cahalan at .205,
Jocelyn Erickson at .200. In limited SEC play Gabi Comia is hitting .313 & Ava Brown at .067.

Our leading pitcher by ERA in SEC games is Katelyn Oxley at 3.17, which is 10th best.
Ava Brown's ERA is 4.14 in SEC games, and in only 8.2 innings of conference pitching
Keagan Rothrock's ERA is 4.04, Olivia Miller in 6.2 innings is 4.42 and Kara Hammock
in 9.2 innings has an ERA of 8.69.

In our 12 conference games, we simply have not played like a title contender; more like a middle
of the pack SEC team. Gotta be better moving forward.

In spite of all our issues and only going 1-3 last week, we're still #3 in RPI according to Warren Nolan, #4 in SOS and #10 in ELO (down 7 spots from last week). Just need to right the ship and start winning games again.

My favorite girl Falby is still the iG's reason for following Gator softball this year.
The rest of the team needs to 'get on the stick' a little more.
They also need a little divine intervention with injuries.
GuuuuuuuuuuuGoaters....

Keagan Rothrock struggled in the circle, but Katelynn Oxley shut things down for ther Gators. Korbe Otis, Mia Williams & Kendra Falby led the offense and in spite of 2 more infield errors Florida prevailed.

Despite another infield error that cost us 2 unearned runs in the first inning, Ava Brown pitched extremely well and like in the Sound of Music, The Bats Come Alive and we blow out Ole Miss. Going for the sweep Sunday afternoon.

Went to the Florida vs Ole Miss game today and saw the Rebels get blown out. After the game my family went down to the downtown square and saw some Gator girls walking around. Low and behold I saw Jason and Mia Williams walking around. Yessir I went up to shake the hand of white chocolate Jason Williams previously of the Florida Gators of 1997-1998. Talked for about 5 minutes and he was cool as hell. Told him my daughter went to Ole Miss and bragged on his daughter to him. You could tell he was a proud dad when a Rebels dad was bragging to him about his Gator daughter. Told him I was a longtime Gators fan back to Spurrier and Donovan days.

Every time I have watched a game she has been the pitcher so something is up with mound time
You must not have watched much then. Before you make assumptions, it always helps to get the facts. Last year she was our stud ace as a true freshman. Threw 262 innings in 69 games. No arm issues at all. The next closest was Ava Brown with 124 innings. This year in our 47 games, Rothrock has only thrown 71 innings. The pitching has been divided up among 5 pitchers, with Ava Brown throwing 73 innings, Katelyn Oxley 64, Kara Hammock 54 and Olivia Miller 30. Keagan was great the first few weeks of the season, throwing 43 innings and only giving up 8 earned runs. She didn't pitch for 5 weeks due to an undisclosed ailment and her first game back on March 29 against Auburn she was great. In her 5 starts since she has been lit up. It has ZERO to do with her being overworked, though something is obviously not right with her. You just need to watch more softball so you'll know what you're talking about.

Maybe she should get on the Lagway plan and rest the shoulder cause she has something going on and truth be known I have only seen about 3 games this year

So you decided that Rothrock was being overworked based on watching 3 games??!! And every time you watched a game (all 3 of them) she was pitching and so her issues were caused by too much mound time and Tim Walton working her arm to death. I thought you were smarter than that! She was out 5 weeks, the coaches wouldn't put her in there unless the doctors said she was 100%. You have no idea what you're talking about, which you now admit. So speculating about what she or Coach Walton should do with your limited knowledge just makes you look like an idiot. Reasonable opinions should be based on actual knowledge of facts that lead to certain conclusions that make sense. Otherwise they're just stupid speculation and with every post you just keep proving how little you know. That's truth be known.

did I hear that right? they haven't won a Home SEC series all year?
Yes, until today. But teams only play 4 home conference series and 4 away conference series. We lost 2 of 3 to Texas and lost 2 of 3 to Arkansas at home. We finsh the season hosting Oklahoma. We won an away series at Texas A&M, swept Auburn on the road and won 2 of 3 at Ole Miss. We go to LSU next weekend. There are no easy series anymore in the SEC, so very few sweeps, with most series coming down to a rubber game.
