UF Ranked #12

Considering what we've been through, hellz yeah I'll take that!

It's generous to UF, not gonna lie. However, Notre Dame dropping 3 spots is normal for the past 20 years or so.

90% of the time you lose a top 10 match-up, you're gonna drop 2-4 spots.

Unranked UF beats #7 Utah by a field goal, jumps to #12
#3 UGA decimates #11 Oregon and they drop from the rankings
#2 OSU beats #5 ND and ND drops 3 spots to #8

Preseason rankings are garbage. That is all.
yes, they are, and that's why the first week regular season poll seems to have bigger movements up and down, it's kind of a "re-set"

I agree 12 is too high based on the performance. I have no problem with Oregon dropping out. They were crushed.

SInce the polls change every week, it could be said that they are never "accurate".
Yep they are really never “accurate” until the last game has been played. Usually by the end of the year the rankings “make sense”.

I would say they are only considered accurate because we stop having games and polls. If the season went a few more weeks the polls would continue changing. But yes, there are more accurate at the end of the year than the beginning, because voters have more data to base their decisions on.

#12 for us is a little high. I was thinking more along the lines of #17-#20. Oregon deserved to be dropped from the top 25. Did the voters not know preseason that they had Bo Nix at QB? 😂

Bo nix at QB plus Dillingham at OC lol that gets you 3 pts. I know all too well about the trash can OC he is....
