Two Interesting Recruiting Rumors I Heard

Truly don't think Insta understands walk-ons.

Nope, I sure don't. Louis Oliver -- Chris Doering

And is Del Rio a walkon too? If so, then I guess that everyone should just STHU about him and/or Appleby for 2016...

Broad sweeping optimism about walk-one potential success is absurd, even for you.

Except that 5 Star CB Brian Poole often played Nickle.....

And we'll just have to disagree on what 'nothing' means, I guess.

Note: Louis Oliver was a Gator walkon DB......o_O

Brian Poole played Nickel because he didn't do so hot at Cornerback.

Yes Louis Oliver was a walk on. So was that one dude who started for a season in 2002 or 2003 or so and who did a nice job. Other than that, you will hardly find any walk ons who started for us in the secondary.

That's nothing. ie nobody we could feel the least bit confident in having to put out there against SEC caliber competition.

Don't you mean that Poole got beat out for starting CB by 5 Star Hargreaves and 5 Star Tabor? However, he still played backup at CB along with playing at nickel.

IMO, often times, the walkons are not far behind the average 3 star as far as talent and potential are concerned, while there are 4-5 star busts on a yearly basis in D1 football.

You are welcome to your own opinions, as I am happy with my own...

Dunny, broad sweeping idiocy is your trademark imo. Please continue, I still find you mildly amusing, (when I occasionally take you off ignore for a laugh). With your claimed opinion of my posts, I just wonder why you don't do us both a favor and put me on ignore? o_O (after all these years, I'm apparently still in his head).

I mean walk ons are with rare exception not what you want to have to rely on. The number of walk ons who have started for UF at non kicker positions is pretty rare in the last 25 years.

I'm quite happy with my opinions. They're backed up by the facts. :)
