For the time being. Removing apps was a good way to slow the bleed long enough for foreign money to start propping them up. They’ll start to bounce back in about a week is my guess. If Congress passes new hate speech type laws watch them bounce back huge. Only way to bring them down harder is going to be a device that rivals the iPhone. I’m disappointed in the tech companies censorship but here I sit typing away on one of their devices.

My position is that private enterprises (not the government) are free to restrict their users content. Should enough people disagree, the free market will allow other competitors to spring up and gain market share. Let the market decide where people want to “hang out”. Wild free for all’s where anything goes, or places where hate speech and calls to violence, at the discretion of the company, are banned. I’m OK with both being available. You want companies to be FORCED into carrying content they don’t subscribe to.
Let the free market decide. That’s the libertarian way.

You realize how dishonest this comes across when you woke up the day after the Georgia runoffs and celebrated Democrats having control of the WH and Congress though right? Once called out for that celebration you began acting like you were upset about it. You do not come across as a sincere or honest person in here at all.
These companies ascended to the heights they have under 230s protection with the intent that they act like platforms. They also ascended with half their customer and client base being conservative.
Now that they have market power they have jettisoned their conservative clientele while acting now as publishers instead of platforms. They have become de facto public squares. They should be forced to comply with 230 and return to being platforms and not publishers. If not then they should be treated as public utilities.
Others like google. amazon , apple need to be precluded from interfering in other businesses day to day ops. There are laws against anti-competitive practices.I am not sure which ones apply.Maybe as Bill Gates.He was hammered for it a while back.
Lastly banks are heavily regulated. Its time to come down on Paypal, Stripe, and Square until the give up the "woke" banning of businesses they dont like.

It should be simple. If a you are in social media or online finance you will serve everyone as long as they are engaged in legal activity. You will allow all content that is legal and would not violate FCC standards. The latter you can relax and allow. The former you may not infringe upon. Laws should be passed that nullify any section of a contract that seeks to bind a party to the content moderation terms of the other party to the contract. Nor should it be allowed to compel users to such moderation as long as speech is lawful or does not violate FCC standards if the site chooses to enforce those standards.
