Trump Will Drain The Swamp. Lol!!

Light vehicle sales in January, 2019 saw 1,146,972 units sold. January, 2018 saw 1,159,119 units sold. This is a drop of 1 percent year over year. This 2019 number is a near record SAAR.

I hardly think this qualifies as plummeting car sales. Technically car sales are plummeting as consumers shift to trucks, SUVs and CUVs.

All detailed sales numbers by manufacturer are available for January this minute at Automotive News.

I can add this SunBurnt, not many folks are going to pay out $60,000 to $85,000 for a truck. Again, some of it depends on what area that you live in.You can get a stripped down version of a Ford for $45,000 Hell, i have been looking for a truck myself and i'll be damn if i'm going to pay $41,000 for a Toyota Tacoma. Ain't. Gonna. Happen. I walk on the lot and the salesman try to gang bang me.

Ford - which no longer reports official monthly sales numbers, just like GM - was the one exception, rising 7% versus estimates of -1.5%, according to Bloomberg who cited "people familiar". GM, on the other hand, fell 7% versus estimates

Remember the thrills in 2012 when auto makers sold 14.4 million units? And now the horrors with the prospects of selling a mere 16.9 million units. Wow!
