Why wait until after the funeral? After what the Dems did to Kavanaugh, any Republican senator that holds out or votes against it, needs to be voted out.
They have plenty of time to wait if.....they go straight to a floor vote.
She was just confirmed in 2017 to the 7th Circuit by a vote of 55-43. That was only 3 years ago so they may decide to go straight to the vote.
