I do think trump urged them on and I think his behavior vas reprehensible, I do think and hope he is able to run for office. I doubt this gets by the supreme court but it is a very very big piece of news, Yuuuuge if I don’t say so myself.

What is amazing is the Colorado courts cite the 14th amendment, which is the US Constitution, not their state Constitution. This is not within their purview under federal election law. It is however, election interference,

But to answer your question.......the only time this is going to ever come up is if the person had enough power to incite an insurrection and said person would likely be a person who was a threat to run for office or worse. A "normal citizen" would never have the ability to pull something like January 6th off.
Would they have done this if Trump would have accepted his loss and just rode off into the sunset instead of running again.......probably not. What's the point of telling a guy who isn't going to run that he can't run?

As I have said many times there is absolutely nothing conservative about trump. The supporters of him, in my mind, are not conservatives.
The Supreme Court is the only entity that can not tolerate it. The Colorado gop is a powerful as the Girl Scouts.
