That tells you where he thinks the tight races are. The last week before the 2016 election, media said he would only be speaking in Florida and Ohio. Instead, he started adding rallies in states that were supposed to be solidly Blue, like Michigan, Wisconsin, PA and MN.
He ended up winning most of the states he went to at the last minute.
Same thing here. He's seen something in his internal polling that tells him to go to these places. You can bet that if there's a house or senate race in those states, that he feels like he has a real shot of winning.
I don't see a lot of protecting ground in these stops. Looks like he's mostly going after races that Dems think they have locked up.
