I think there is more to come on this. Does not sound as close as Trump is claiming. But what is Zelinsky going to do when we cut off military support? He has NO leg to stand on
It’s about leverage
Trump exploits leverage as well as anyone
And this is doubly good for Zelensky, if we own the land those mineral reserves are on China and Russia won’t touch them. A small cut is better than no cut for him, and we can start to rebalance China’s grip on the potential future of energy.
I 100% get what Trump is doing. I am a sales manager at a car dealership (38 years). I train negotiating. Trump is the best I have seen. He is playing a different game than any of his opponents, and it really is not fair. He is that good. He will CRUSH Zelensky. What people do not understand this requires him to be tough on his friends, and nice to his opponents. Most have no clue what he is going, though. He plays to his opponents ego, and will never publicly disparage them when he wants something from them. In private I would love to know what he thinks of Putin. I think he has some respect for he and Xi, but it stops there. He does not believe in their causes, he believes in America!
I think he, Putin and Xi are on the same page in one regard: They all understand there is a cabal of very evil people trying to run the world. And they want to stop it. I think Trump disagrees a lot with both of them on how they do some things in their countries, but I think both countries are also dealing with their versions of a Deep State and they are also dealing with EU assholes trying to undermine them as well.
