Trump begins negotiating end to Russia/Urkraine war

It wouldn't surprise me if he just wants to be forced out sooner rather than later and move to western Europe to spend all that crooked money he has obtained.

I'd say let em continue to kill each other while Ukraine is no longer receiving money from the US.

When the US cuts it off they are basically done 100%. Russia already has control of the areas in the east they won't be giving back. Just curious if the western Ukranian people turn on Zelensky real fast with that money being cut off from the US.

Part of the "Trump plan" is to have European and non-European forces on the ground in Ukraine to keep the peace. No US troops and no US cash. This is NATO without the name or the US presence. Europe will fork over money unless they want to surrender to Putin. And I believe Trump will give NATO members a credit toward dues for spending on Ukraine.

We shall see how it plays out.

Our LNG will come online and we will be able to cut Putin out of the loop. Once Europe can cut ties Putin is done. Trump cabinet Sec yesterday mentioned countering an adversary with our LNG exports. Russia Russia Russia!

I still believe Russia (and Putin) is the biggest threat to both us and the Western world, and that won’t change until Russia gets rid of him. This is my number two issue, and one of the key reasons I’m against MAGA (though not against Republicans—I am one). Trump’s fascist tendencies and his push for oligarchies are seriously concerning.

By the way, my number one issue is the separation of church and state. Religion should have no influence on policy. I don't think religion needs to disappear to have a peaceful society—everyone should be free to practice their faith. But it should never infringe on my freedoms. That’s why I’m anti-MAGA, but not necessarily anti-Republican.

I totally get why Ukraine is such a big deal, but sending them arms instead of troops is the right call. Europe is not our enemy—they’re our allies. Sure, there are flaws in the relationships, but they’re crucial for preventing large-scale wars.

Sorry if my thoughts seem a little jumbled—I'm dealing with the worst flu ever.

Oh, and when Alexander Dugin says “We won” after the election, that should give you pause.

Side Note: Trump also read India the riot act in regards to BRICs. Japan and India want LNG also. This of course will be sold in dollars! Trump claims BRICs will now fall apart. Good news for Pax Americana if true.

Bugrum say our resources are in the 100s of Trillions.

Iran and China are now on the clock!

Its China and its not even close.

No such thing actually exists and your fears are just plain nonsense. I don't know you but suspect it is born out of anti-religious bigotry.

They are trending the wrong direction on freedoms and immigration. You prevent large scale wars with strength. If European troops had been in Ukraine before the war then there would not have been a war. This is something even Trump would not have done. But the peace plan as currently envisioned requires such forces to work. Will Putin cave?

Reagan by the way believed in a 3 legged stool. Learn it and love it instead of fearing it. As John Adams would say the constitutional republic depends on it.

Let's see what happens...kinda like Napier, hoping for the best but setting myself up for disappointment. Trump has always been soft on dictators like Putin.

I'm also not saying China isn't a threat. They certainlyare...but it starts and ends with Russia. Cut off Putin and the path is clearer towards peace.

On the religion part...there are hundreds of different faiths in our country alone. Why should one faith tell the others how they should live?

Again, it's about personal freedom to choose what you do and how you do it in your own home. That's real freedom, unlike Maga.

China is already a big threat and growing worse. They have the GDP and infrastructure to compete. Russia long term does not. Ukraine shows that their equipment is inferior. But anyone who followed them after collapse knew their weapons are crap. SaDamn (H pronunciation) the shoe shine boy and his 4th largest army in the world fell in 4 months. All Russian crap. Sad when you need drones from Iran, weapons and soldiers from NK. Those drones from Iran were easily shot down by modern militaries like the USoA and Israel.

Chinas weapons may also be overhyped crap but I don't think they bluster like the Russians. I fear their capabilities based on size and GDP.

Its not going to. Never was. Unfounded fears. Just because a tenet is Christian does not mean it isn't also near universal in acceptance. The problem is the Rousseau notion of morality merely springing from a vote. It exist before a vote. The vote merely codifies it into law.

Sure. Seems the leftist went beyond that with censorship, woke and Obergefell !

I am pleased with the first month of Trump. I do not buy or get the dictator claims. And I am not on board with everything but will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I wonder why Putin waited to invade until AFTER Trump left office??? Whoda THUNK?? LOLOL You are either with US...or them. I have been a conservative longer than you have been alive...and you are NOT a conservative...quit your bullchitting. ONLY dimwads feel Russia is THE threat. You do not understand how weak they are I see.

Their army is mostly conscripts. Not the red Chinese that came over the 38th parallel in 1950.

When Russia starts buying up American land, starts conspiring with Canada to circumvent US tariffs, and when Russia starts flying SPY BALLOONS over the lower 48, then I'll buy your argument that Russia is our biggest threat.

Right now, China is the one doing all those things.

@Hotlanta_Bill if you think people like george Bush, John McCain, Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney are good republicans and what the party should be, that doesn't make you a pub, it proves you are a dem. Cause all those politicians work for the dems.

I suspect you are a lifelong dem. You sure talk like one.

China only owns 380k acres of land in the US which I believe is 18th on the list of foreign nations. Not saying they aren't spying, etc etc but so is Russia. That's 1/10 the size of Houston.

Canada owns 3 times more land than China does.

Both nation states are problems. Both are run by state media that tries to brainwash its citizens. Russia just happens to be better at it, way more volatile and a bigger threat for all out war because of their oligarchies. They have money all over America. If you don't believe that, you're fooling yourself.

And that's typically all the media tells you about the land China has purchased in the US.

Why is China buying land near 19 military bases? That we know of.

Aain, when you can show me Russia doing the same thing, I'll be just as worried about it. Just like when I see Putin take over Ukraine and begin marching through Eastern Europe like a hot knife through butter, I'll also believe that media spin.

Until any of that happens, I will continue to wonder why the media would continue to downplay the threat of one country to the US and wildly exaggerate the others?

Have you cross referenced that land vs where other nation states own in the US.

Again...I am not saying we don't have a problem with China. JBFC.

I don't think handing Russia whatever it wants helps any situation...which is what we're now setting up to do. That is the real money to follow...China can't be so stupid to buy ag land, that we're 100% aware of, only to spy on 19 of the 450 domestic bases we have.

Again, where does Canada own land in reference? Where do other countries? Maybe if we protected farmers better (this is an issue that needs to be owned by both sides), we wouldn't be having this conversation. Trump's tariffs were the last straw for many small farmers in his first term.
