You hear the talking point in every discussion of voter fraud...."Trump lost 60 cases, how could he even have a leg to stand on regarding voter fraud?" (or similar).

Well here's a list, and some key facts related to the actual state of the legal action regarding voter fraud. Unless you're a Q-anon person, this is just about the next election and waking people up...and getting rid of the "there's no evidence of voter fraud" claim. I'm only sharing because facts either matter or they don't.

There have been 80 cases filed in total.
Trump was the plaintiff in about half.
When he was the plaintiff, he was 4 of 9 when the court heard the merits of the case
When he wasn't, his side was 1 for 2 when the courts heard the merits
Of the original 80, 32 are still active. Of the other 48 some were dismissed by the court on standing and that's being appealed, some were withdrawn, some were won and some were lost.

Bottom line - when the merits are actually heard he's batting around 45%. A bit less than half of the original 80 are still open. Anyone who characterizes or parrots the "all 60 cases were thrown out because it's BS" doesn't actually know the facts.

I can't wait until Dominion's suit against Powell gets cranked up. My guess? Discovery raises it's ugly head. The case is settled out of court, with Powell getting a settlement for millions of dollars. We'll never know though, she'll have to sign an NDA to get the money. Smart woman.

Also - any of "you people" catch wind of H.R. 1? How in the hell is that even Constitutional? I don't see how Congress has the authority to affect state election laws...regardless if they plan to threaten federal funding.

I HIGHLY doubt she takes a settlement to enrich herself. She isn't doing this to get rich. In fact, I'm sure it's going to ruin her long term. Same as anyone who played a prominent role in the Trump admin.

I saw another lawyer (I'm not going to say who) basically said Dominion has ensnared itself. Under Defamation law Dominion has the burden of proving falsity which means they have to prove THEY did nothing wrong through admissible evidence.

It's a step past discovery, they have to open the entire process up from the inside. If what Powell says is true it was an insane move for them to have ever brought the case.

It's patently against everything the Constitution spells out. However, careful what they wish for. (national voter ID requirements, citizenship requirements, and voter integrity laws with regard to chain of custody).
