Trask, Toney, and Pitts played their guts out...

Yep we put on a good offensive show. Reminded me of a PAC 12 game a little but I guess that is normal now even in the SEC.

Great Gators...all of them...we will miss them so much...sadgator is thankful for what they did...

All 3 are good players in their own right. Gator offense will look much different next yr without them

Nobody in the immediate future will be similar to Kyle Pitts.

However we have some good TE's on the roster that gained valuable experience. Justin Shorter and Jacob Copeland will be good to great WR's. Whittemore will eventually be one as well.

Mullen's playbook will be different with Jones and later Richardson and/or CDR playing QB.

We have to find a way to shore up the defense. Honestly there isn't many DC's out there available that can turn things around in 1 year. Honestly if Mullen keeps Grantham around he will lose a few supporters because it will be the same situation as now.

I used to get so pissed off at Toney throughout the years of him running laterally as opposed to him planting his foot and running north and south. I truly believe he earned his money this year and was a key cog in us having an explosive offense. The "human joystick" will truly be missed.

Toney also became a very smart player. Tons of times that he took fair catches when he could have made a run at it, but knew the situation and almost always seemed to make the right decision(s). He was so solid for us in that punt return role. sadgator loves those electric-type dudes when they live up to their potential...they are so rare...

Until this year, Toney played like the freshman who was so much better than everybody else in High School he could do whatever he wanted and still make a great play, and didn't understand the college game and always ended up running all over the place and losing 5 yards.

This year you could see Toney had finally learned what worked and what didn't when playing guys as fast as you. I also think he must have really dedicated himself to the weight room because he showed so much more strength this year than he had before.

It was worth the wait.

I do believe that Toney above all others raised his draft stock these past two weekends. As much so as he did for his senior year putting in the extra effort to fully learn the playbook and learn to be an actual functioning WR in the system at hand, not just a human joystick to give the ball to 5-8 times a game on jet sweeps.

Next year is going to look so different IMHO going from Trask to Jones. We might be more of a running team next year to be honest only a season from being one of the most prolific passing teams in SEC history. While the RB's didn't get much love in 2020, I really think we will shine there next year.

Not that this is a shocker. Gonna miss Kyle Pitts.
