Physically attended. Not sure mail order Universities were even available back in the day.
 
Correspondence schools (by mail) were around for many years before the Internet. UF actually has a correspondence school where someone literally snail mails you homework and you mail it back.

I think Arnold Schwarzenegger finished a degree at the University of Wisconsin by correspondence decades ago.

My 1968 Florida State diploma, with its antique gold frame with non-glare glass (if I had any idea where it was), would kick your Gator diploma into next week. Just sayin'. 'Nuff said. Case closed.
