I wouldn't argue with Sloan, Dressel or Holloway. All are awesome athletes who have done amazing things. I tend to lean towards Dressel because I know his parents and remember him when he was a baby. But maybe the edge was given to Sloan because her team won 3 national titles, while the Gator swim team didn't win any national championships, though they did win 4 SEC titles. I remember one of the gymnastics titles, with Oklahoma leading Florida going to the last event of the last rotation. UF needed perfect 10's from Sloan & McMurtry on the uneven bars for Florida to win and they both came through. That's clutch greatness.
What's incredible, yet not surprising, is that no football players were in the Top 10 and only Vernon Hargreaves got voting consideration. I don't remember a list for the 2000 decade, but imagine Tebow topped the list.
