Told you...

How much ball and to what level did you two play? I'm being serious. Not trying to smack talk. Not ticking for taccing.

Even though a small majority quit. Even though another small majority gave half ass effort. Even though the coaches didn't give the full effort they were supposed to. Even though fans have to get girly because "UCF fans will now bully me at work" and whatever other soft cupcake excuse y'all come up with....oh me my our pretty little 247 ranking won't be as shiney.

Fvck all of that. Majority of the seniors WANTED to suit up one more time in the orange and blue. It was some guys last game not only as a Gator but as a football player period. Even real warriors go into things looking "I'm a sophomore, this is my last game as a sophomore".

These damn young men grew up WANTING to play college ball. They knew signing up that to achieve a goal that they would miss part of the days of sucking on peppermint, smelling a cedar tree, wearing Santa footies, and drinking on warm coco would be missed. Spare me the candy ass "oh they could've been home for Christmas" pansy azz excuse.

Some of these young men would run through a brick wall for your entertainment knowing we would all bitxh that we didn't lower his shoulder correctly or whatever critique we give.

Even though it wasn't the ideal bowl or ideal season. They still did what was necessary to earn "1 more". Every real athlete wants 1 more. The selfish players don't. Better yet the soft cupcake fans don't because of ignorant excuses.

I'll end this rant but it's not for you any of you. No matter your donor level to determine or suggest that those that earned "1 more" not to get 1 more. Real athletes understand the 1 more.

Even fsu #"s wanted his lackadaisical Nollies to play "1 more"

Some of y'all don't understand 1 more. "Give me 5 more minutes" *Listen to the country song.
Ok TG.

1. Organized sports? Years. Played up into late teens. Coached as well, but only kids. Organized football? Nope. Amount of difference it makes? None.

2. Small majority? There are no small majorities. A majority is more than half. If we took 60 kids to the game, then you are stating at least 31 of them didn't GAS. Personally, I'd say we had about 5 out there that were giving a top effort. The rest phoned it in.

3. You are totally, completely, 100% wrong about the players. Most of them play because their parents pushed them to play. They hit the genetic jackpot, being blessed with exceptional athletic ability, and their parents recognized it. Now they play to make it to the show and get life changing money. Some of them (the ones who have come to terms with not being good enough for the show) are playing to get that 4 year degree they could never have afforded otherwise. The lucky ones have loving to play as a bonus to their goals of the NFL and/or a degree. None play strictly and only for the love of the game. And even the ones who love the game love playing when they are achieving goals and making progress, but don't love playing in an uncertain and unhappy environment with nothing to gain from playing.

4. The Christmas argument is a false narrative, the game was on the 23rd, most of them were home for Christmas. What they wanted and didn't get was for that abortion of a season to be over after FSU and to get a full Christmas break at home rather than deal with coaches who didn't want to coach them and teammates who were looking to transfer.

5. If that sappy song is your reasoning for thinking they wanted to play another game, no. Just, no. That's the sentiment of somebody who is missing something they had long ago and wish they could go back to. That's the 50 year old's lament about the lost opportunities of his 20's. 20 year olds do not ever think that way. When you are 20 everything is going to go on and on as you move from adventure to adventure.

6. Listening to interviews with the Jaguars, who also have lost their head coach and have nothing to play for, they discuss the difficulty in getting the MEN to play hard with nothing to play for. But you think the BOYS are raring to go and begging for another chance to play. And what I am telling you is, you are wrong. They did not want to play the game. Going to Tampa, chasing skirts and partying, yeah, they were ok with that, heck, that was probably the incentive to keep the entire team from just opting out. But actually playing the game? They did not want to be there.

You need to stop investing these young men with your wants and wishes, they are not you, they aren't years past the game wishing for another chance. Not sure why you are so adamant that they are, because all the evidence is against you.

I mean...technically a "small majority" is a real thing.

That's why many thing in government require super majorities.

51% is a small majority. 85% is a large majority.

but I'm bored and thought is mention that.

If you require a majority to pass a bill, then you can have a differentiation between a small majority and a large majority. But when discussing general items, you can have a small minority, a large minority, or a majority. Or, unanimity.

Specifically, if you are talking about players who didn't GAS about a bowl game, there is no such thing as a "small" majority. It's more along the lines of "a majority of the kids didn't want to bother? HOLY CRAP!"

So I realize your point on all of this.

I only wanted the bowl game because I thought it would be good for Napier and the new coaches to see how things are.

Sure, they could see that on tape, but if you don't know how it's being coached, it's pretty difficult to evaluate, right? Like why is this happening? Is it the kid or is the coaching process? Because evaluation is a big thing right now.

But lol....3-5 practices....and then that performance...I'll tell you what the evaluation is.

This roster and its now former coaching staff were a mess.

I don't agree with you about squat unless it's football. I've read a lot since the FSU game and commented little. I too didn't give a damn about a post season game, too much turmoil, there was zero to play for in this game. As a fan, had it not been FSU, I would have preferred this team to lose it's final game to avoid this embarrassment. I actually forgot there was a game, and completely missed watching it. As a former player (high school, I know I know, big deal, but I did have one legit college scholly offer, his name was Charley Pell). My point is kids want to relax, hunt and fish and party, do nothing when their season is screwed and there's nothing to play for. The whole "this is a reward" to play in a bullshit game and prolong the agony of a terrible season is a farce. At least we can agree on something.

sadgator never half-asses anything in his life. If you give sadgator a task that is crappy to do, he may not like it…but he will put 100% effort into doing it…

sadgator expects the same mindset from the sports program he roots for…
Technically, the players and coaches didn't half-ass this. Quarter-ass at most.

So the admin did not want to play in a bowl, but the players convinced the admin to play...then didn't prepare.

BRAVO
