Timothy Smith visiting UF ?

DT Timothy Smith 6-4, 340 **** from Sebastian, FL (Bama commit)
Visits UF again. He also visited UF for FNL's back at the end of July.

Possible reason that he might flip to UF:
1. UF's depth chart for DT's stands wide open for him.
2. All Sports camaraderie and UF's Top 10 Academic standing.
3. Much closer to home for him and his family / friends.

But Ive got no insider info, sorry.

Things can always happen, but a believable confirmation that Tim Smith, and others, will be in town Saturday.

Alabama defensive tackle commit Tim Smith is expected to be in Gainesville on Saturday after he visited Gainesville for Friday Night Lights. Despite being committed to Alabama, Smith is still talking with the Gators a lot and showing interest in Florida. This is a battle that will last deep into Smith’s recruitment.

Receiver Xzavier Henderson is also expected in town on Saturday to watch his brother CJ Henderson in his first home game of 2019. Florida and Clemson are battling for Henderson but the Gators figure to get the receiver on campus a lot this fall with his brother playing for Florida.

Hopefully we can land him. Getting tired of Bama taking a lot of these FL recruits. We had one in this same area take a Bama offer and he wasn't even put on scholarship his first season I think and had to wait until the second season to get his full scholarship.

The state of Floirda puts out well over 100 D1 quality recruits every year, some (by necessity) are going to out of state schools.

On the other hand, how many D1 recruits does the state of Alabama put out every year?
Now consider this.... o_O

Gator players from the state of Alabama:

Sr RB Lamical Perine - Mobile (Saban failed to flip him)

Sr S Jeawon Taylor - Montgomery (Starting Safety)

rsJr BUCK Jeremiah Moon - Hoover (LB-DE)

Jr ATH Kadarius Toney - Mobile (WR/RB/KR/wcQB)

So K Evan McPherson - Fort Payne (Groza Award Watch List)

Fr LB Mohamoud Diabate - Auburn (future BUCK?)

Fr CB Jaydon Hill - Huntsville - (2nd String CB)

All but the 2 new freshmen are starters, and they soon will be....

Bama is taking quite a few of the really highly ranked recruits. That one that had to wait for a scholarship was highly ranked and being pursued by most of the big schools. Crazy he would let Bama sucker him like that.
