Football Thoughts on this Florida team......

Well according to reporters Mike White left us because of "toxic" people in the fan base. He did abandon his players willingly. Seems he was kind of toxic himself.
What makes you think that I was referring to White?
After all, I never made the mistake of thinking that he was mediocre.

But according to the White haters, Mike really did his players a solid by leaving, right???
😂

And oh BTW, why have you joined the other dufus in constantly bringing up Mike White and UGly sports???

Was he perfect as a true Fr not prepared and allowed to start to begin the season? -- NO
However, he was 6-0 in games he started and played the whole game in.

Enjoy these highlights and think about him being 100% fully healthy and throwing to these
guys in 2025 after spending an entire offseason, Spring, and then Fall practice with...

WR Kahiell Jackson 6-3 215 rsSr-Grad (injured out in 2024)
WR J. Michael Sturdivant 6-3 205 rsSr - xfer-in Cal/UCLA

WR Eugene Wilson 5-10 183 rsSo (injured out in 2024)
WR Aidan Mizell 6-1.5 186 Jr
WR Tank Hawkins 5-9.5 176 So (slot)
WR/RB TJ Adams 5-10 197 So
WR Vernell Brown III 5-11 170 Fr
WR Dallas Wilson 6-3 195 Fr

RB Ja'Kobi Jackson 5-10.5 209 rsSr
RB Treyaun Webb 5-11 211 rsSo (injured out in 2024)
RB Jadan Baugh 6-0.75 227 So
RB Walter Clark 6-1 194 Fr

TE Hayden Hansen 6-7.75 267 rsJr
TE Tony Livingston 6-4.75 234 Jr
TE Amir Jackson 6-4.75 228 rsFr

I'm sure looking forward to seeing these guys lighting up the scoreboard,
even with what might be a sub-standard OC and/or system.... 😉

You better plug holes with it. Curious to see LSU and Ole Miss this season. Both are big wildcards.
That's how transfers always worked. You brought in a guy or two, as a stopgap, to provide depth, or occasionally, you would find one gem. The only thing it's good for right now is poaching players. That's the only way to really get quality. But even then, you are getting the mercenaries, the ones whose only allegiance is to their pocketbook. I differentiate that from players whose first allegiance is to their pocketbook.

In college hoops you can build a title with all portal, not there in football yet.
Won't ever be there in football. It's too much of a team game. Basketball you get one great player, that's 20% of your floor presence. A great football player is 4.54%. Ok, I know QB's are special, but that's the one position you can't really poach, because that's the one position schools will match you for the player, unless you are bringing in a small school guy, and that step up in competition isn't a guaranteed success.

It's crazy the money that is floating around out there. What Miami paid for Beck is insane. Because of that I think one day you will be able to build a title team from majority transfers. In this day nobody's star players are sure things.

The best portal players are the most expensive ones generally though. You do get some situations like FSU where they don't click together like their portal defenders this season bur you also get teams that do well with a lot of them. I do hate this free for all being able to leave every season stuff we have now.

The Gators final spring 5-Star enrollee, WR Dallas Wilson 6-3 205, is set to enroll with the program this week for the spring semester. Him, K'Jack 6-3 215 Grad-Sr, and xfer-in J.M.Sturdivant 6-3 205, will be the 'big' guy WR's for 2025. K'Jack started in the 1st game of 2024, but he was injured out for the rest of the season vs the scUM.

Those big WR's, along with the blazing fast shorter guys, will give DJ a great group to throw to, shallow or deep.

Wilson is one of 25 names the Gators have signed so far in the class of 2025. Of those 25 names, the Gators will have
19 of those names early enrolled in the program once Wilson arrives to move in on Tuesday.

Couple that with an awesome RB room and experienced O-line the offense should be as good as anyone. The defense? We’ll see.

I think we could be an elite offense if Eugene Wilson can take the next step and Sturdivant does well here. Surprised we haven't picked up a good O tackle in the portal to have good depth there though.

We have a lot of skill players, no doubt. But the inability to load up with elite defensive and offensive linemen remains a weakness and a concern. We just can't consistently beat the top tier schools without depth and quality "Beef People" in the trenches.
