I'm wondering about them...you have two sides, the progressive and establishment factions...and they're not wanting the same things...we know what the progressives say they want...and we know what the establishment faction wants: "to keep things more the way they are."
I do not believe the establishment faction wants Bernie, Tulsi, or any progressive to gain the democratic nomination under any cost(s).
Since democrats say that getting Trump out of the WH is the numero uno consideration...I wonder...if Biden, Harris, or Pocahantas gets the nomination...will the so-called progressives fall in line and vote for the establishment nominee?
If the progressives are really "progressive"...and they say what they mean (and want)...how can they with good conscience (????) vote for an establishment democrat knowing they're hardly (or not at all) going to get what they say/claim they want (which are progressive agendas)?
They (the progressives) will not get Medicare for All voting for an establishment democrat.
They (the progressives) will not get an end to foreign wars/foreign regime change voting for an establishment democrat.
They (the progressives) will not get any sort of "Green New deal."
Nor will they get (the progressives) open-borders that so many claim they're seeking with an establishment democrat.
So...with all this mind...will progressives still vote for an establishment democrat knowing they're getting screwed as they did in 2016?...it would seem (to myself) if they (the progressives) mean what they say...I don't see how they can vote "establishment" and keep "any face or honor."...that's my opinion.
The democrats ***say*** the first priority is getting Trump out of the WH...I do not believe that at all...I see the establishment democrats' first priority is keeping the status-quo in place even if it means four more years of Trump.
Moving forward, this is what I see as ***potentials*** for the democratic party with regards to election 2020: Bernie and the progressives will suffer defeat at the hands of establishment democrats...the democratic convention could well turn into a circus with lotsa infighting for control of the party nomination...AND...I believe HRC has been too quiet and would not be surprised if she emerges as the 2020 democratic nominee...just to "be the unifying nominee" for the dems.
I believe Bernie would have been better situated to run as an independent instead of a democrat...I just see him needing Preparation H Wipes (from being butthurt once again from the dems and Tom Perez)...I thought he would have learned well enough from 2016...oh well.
It's gonna be interesting to watch the democratic faithful moving forward...their hypocrisy will be in full bloom for anyone with an I.Q. north of the freezing point to see and notice...anyone, IMO, who claims to be progressive but votes for an establishment democrat is a hypocrite of the highest magnitude...if you're not going to vote according to your actual preferences...just why are you gonna vote?
It will be interesting to see if the progressives get pimp slapped around, feign indignation, but turn around to vote for an establishment democrat just to get Trump out of the WH knowing nothing's basically gonna change to their liking.
There's an old saying (paraphrased) about "not watching about what people say but watching about what they actually do."
And I believe I've made a valid argument for that above, paraphrased saying.
