The Socialist Paradox

My dad was a lifelong democrat. The problem is the Democratic Party is not the democratic party of my father. I probably have more in common with old fashion blue dog Democrats from the 80s than I do anybody else. I’m fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Basically a libertarian.

The sooner people realize that both the Democrats and the Republicans are not what they once were, and that Trump was an enigma that showed us that reality, the better we will all be.

Your friends have been likely unknowingly voting for their own eventual voluntary exile from New York City for years now.
I grew up in a union Democrat household. Mom was active in Democrat politics, and headed up a small state agency in the 70's under Reuben Askew. This state was solid blue dog forever. The Legislature was solid conservative Dem.

Claude Kirk was an anomaly. Then things began to change...Bob Menendez as Governor, Dick Stone, Paula Hawkins in the Senate. Lawton Chiles and Bill Nelson were almost the last hurrah for centrists.

Florida is a center right state and many of the Republicans reflect that - this Republican from a Democrat upbringing (and her siblings) included.
What the Dem Party used to represent has left us...and we've found a home with the Republican Party.

And you should quit trying to be smart.
I don’t. That’s Sunburnt. There’s plenty smarter than me. Ask me how to rebuild an engine, or wire a house, or design a bridge and I wouldn’t have a clue. But I know what I know. And that seems to offend some people for whatever reason.

I think you take everything very emotionally. It reeks in your posts. You should learn to take emotions out of your posts or you’ll be continued to be called a lefty.

Just my two cents

Well I think he argues from a place of emotion. He takes rational arguments as more of a personal attack. You lose an element of the ability to be rational when you feel like people are attacking you as opposed to discussing or attacking points of the argument. When he tries to act rational he makes a plausible argument, though we would bicker on the details of it. But in the end I agree with you, he argues from an emotional place And not a rational one and far too many people do that in America these days. Hence all the freaking therapy dogs.

Bingo! We have a winner

Did you see that thread I bumped from 2013? You’re in there.

Perhaps. If someone calls you a racist, would you take that personally? Same with someone calling me a socialist. Yes, no doubt my posting style is aggressive. But frankly I see many more emotional responses any time i say something negative about Trump. Look at all the people on here butt hurt about Trump losing, calling for a revolution. Saying the entire country is going down the tubes. Look at the posts when all I do is post a fact about police being injured in the riots, or having the worst economy since 1946., without even mentioning Trump. That seems pretty emotional to me. You all must be Lefties

Criticize Biden all you want. It doesn’t bother me a bit.

You could call me whatever you want, it doesn’t bother me. At the end of the day, it’s just a message board, it’s fantasy bruh.

@BSC911 they’re just words man. Stop acting like somebody punched you in the face or shot your dog. They’re just words. The only damage words can do to you is the damage you let them do to you. It’s all in your head. The more you laugh about it, joke about it, or ignore it the less people will do it. The more you act like a victim because of it the more people will do it to antagonize you. They’re just words.

What are you afraid? You said I suck at reading graphs, so feel free to share your views to help me out. Let the worms out.

Next you can explain what fracking is, where it’s used, why it’s important, and what are the negatives that would cause some to want to ban its use. Since you don’t think I’m actually in the biz, I look to you to explain it. After all, you dI’d know that gasoline is priced in liters overseas. That makes you an expert in these matters.

But I know you won’t. All you and your ilk are good at is lame insults. Big talkers, but when push comes to shove, you puss out. I know the type.
No dumbass.

What kind of a moron posts something then doesn't comment on it?

And I never ask a question I don't already know the answer to. 😆

The conservative deals almost exclusively with logic, the Left with emotion.

Trump promises prosperity and has delivered. Biden promises economic stagnation and has delivered.

The simplest of examples: Prior to the pandemic, minorities saw all time record low unemployment numbers.

Biden has already fired 11,000 closely connected to Keystone, 8000 of them union workers. All of us who deal with logic are well aware of 8 years of Biden/Obama economic malaise.

Someone in this thread says they know what they know. Problem is, they been caught lying so many times, why would anyone believe them? On ANYTHING? You want to know what that person knows? How to set the timer on the fryer. Thats it, literally.

Good grief.

Lying? Or is it ignorance?

As you well know, when one labels a question as dumb, stupid or trick, the principal is not among our brightest.

Lying requires certain skills, which your opponent probably lacks.
