There are many variables that account for how a football team does overall. There usually isn’t one underlying factor, but many.
If it isn’t the person (or people, whether that be coaches, administration, boosters), people blame it on the process.
If it isn’t the process, people blame it on the person.
I don’t have any bulletproof evidence to back this claim up, but judging by character, limited resume, word of mouth, etc., I believe CBN is THE person with THE process.
If Mullen would have adjusted his process, he had a great shot at being a fantastic coach for the long run.
Have faith in CBN. Have faith in the process. He will eventually earn our trust, but in the meantime, don’t pick apart every singular element of this process. Wait until you have a clear and solid idea to judge.
You wouldn’t look at the beginnings of a drawing, with lines and scribbles and smudges, and begin to judge the quality and talent of the artist. You would wait until the entire picture is formed, and then offer judgement.
