Did you see the goldmom thread? Sadly, we still have many 'republicans' who think we must always vote for the republican, because if we don't we are ceding to 'one party rule'.
These people don't understand, we've had one party rule since Reagan. It's called 'The Establishment'.
Trump was an outsider. Both parties banned against him.

We have the Ruling Class, the Political Class and the rest of us.
The Ruling Class has been buying off the Political Class for decades. That's why Joe, Bush, Obama etc ect have been flopping around...the Political Class is fattening their wallets by doing the Ruling Class bidding at the expense of the rest of us.
The Ruling Class has had it with our middle class system...too much upward mobility and it threatens their stranglehold on wealth and power. The Political Class is importing 3rd worlder's as fast as they can. They will be dependent on the government for survival which means they will vote more socialism thereby shoring up the Ruling and Political Class grip on power.
I mean....we keep running candidates who owe their wealth to their political positions, and we keep acting surprised when they work for the ruling class (who is paying them), instead of us.
We have elected two presidents in our lifetimes who created their wealth outside of politics. Reagan and Trump. They are the only two presidents in our lifetimes who fought for US. All others have been ruling class lackeys.
When will we ever learn?
To be fair, how many “non-establishment for the people” candidates have their actually been over the past 50 years or so ?
It‘s not that we don’t learn, it’s that we rarely ever have that choice.
