By a Charlie Strong offense...

That ridiculously awful HS scheme of Collins is getting murked by Strong right now.. That one play 4-2-5 front every single down for eternity don't quite work without 2 draft picks at LB to hide how awful it is without the talent.. Lmao.. Thank GOD he's not at UF anymore and Shannon is our DC.. Randy blitzed more in the first quarter in the first few possessions than Collins did the enitre season last year, if he was our DC Saturday we lose to their run game and are 0-2 with everyone demanding the staff is done already...

No matter how simple or not great people think Shannon is, Im seeing exactly how bad I knew Collins would look at Temple without the talent and with what nonsense he runs.. That defense is so bad without the proper talent

33-7 already still with time left in the 3rd quarter...

Not sure how Shannon will work out with less talent but I don't miss Collins. His defenses got burned against equal talent usually. We even gave up a bunch of yards in that LSU win last year but turnovers bailed us out.

Well Shannon did go 5-7 at Miami. Had another year where they went 7-6. You gotta kinda be a bum to get fired at Miami. Don't think he'd do anything with lesser talent.

No one is saying he's some awesome coach that's done amazing things, he coordinated arguably the most talented and best defense in college history that many would state a case for.. At any rate, he's better than that shit from Temple last night, and that's good enough for what we have...

Somebody on this board could have coordinated that 01' Miami defense full of future pro-bowlers. Watch their old games and they'd sometimes go whole quarters in one base front and coverage and it didn't matter because they were that talented.

Their offense was the same. I formation. Hand offs to Portis, Gore, McGahee, etc... with play action to Andre freaking Johnson mixed in (or Shockey or Kellen Winslow). Those Miami teams' rosters were mind-boggling. The best in NCAA history I think. Once Coker took over as HC, the talent started to erode and so did the results.

No doubt the best ever. Multiple Hall-Of-Famers on one roster. Hell Frank Gore is almost a lock for the Hall-Of-Fame and he was a backup on that team. Ridiculous talent.
