I'm outta here - I'm gonna take time on Sunday's to spend with my family, write on my book, sit on the front porch swing and listen to the birds singing in the tree and watch my son shoot at them with his BB gun. That's life. I'm not going to spend a single minute watching the patronizing NFL, or college football other sports shows who continue to coddle a movement that hates and wants to destroy America. Thank you Mr. Brees for making my decision easier and my life much simpler.

On Friday evening, Brees responded to Trump:

"Through my ongoing conversations with friends, teammates, and leaders in the black community, I realize this is not an issue about the American flag. It has never been. We can no longer use the flag to turn people away or distract them from the real issues that face our black communities. We did this back in 2017, and regretfully, I brought it back with my comments this week. We must stop talking about the flag and shift our attention to the real issues of systemic racial injustice, economic oppression, police brutality, and judicial and prison reform.
We are at a critical juncture in our nation’s history! If not now, then when?
We as a white community need to listen and learn from the pain and suffering of our black communities. We must acknowledge the problems, identify the solutions, and then put this into action. The black community cannot do it alone. This will require all of us."

PS: Mr. Brees, what do you think Trump was doing during his first few years in office?

Good idea. Some people just can’t handle those who don’t conform to their political views. Best to stay in your echo chamber.

We seriously have turned into a nation of pussies.

Let us know how you stand. Let us know how you enjoy seeing the USA being destroyed by the BLM army and pardoned in so doing. Rioting, looting, destroying personal property in the the name of BLM - is that your stance? And since when is a person's right to choose to not watch games on television considered being a pussy? I love America. I love the flag. I love the anthem of our nation. Therefore, I choose to not watch a bunch of hypocrites like Brees. He's a spinelss turncoat. It takes a great man to stand your ground. At least Kappercrapper stood his ground and I respect that about him. He never said he was wrong. He kept on in spite of a lot of retaliation. Brees coddled like a scared puppy. He didn't even give those in favor of his initial remarks a chance to stand by him in defense of his words. He ran and hid behind a smoke screen of hate.

In these days, good is seen as evil and evil is seen as good.

Where do I stand?

On the side of law and order, which says you can’t choke a suspect to death.
On the side of the constitution that says BLM has the right to peacefully protest.
I love the country. I love the flag. I love football. Personally, I think it’s the wrong forum to protest. But I’m not such a pussy that I let other people’s political views affect my entertainment choices.

Drew Brees has the right to stand for the anthem if he so chooses, and he should. Others have the right not to. He listened to his teammates and came to a better understanding. Sorry if that bothers you. You think it’s about hating the flag, or the country They say it’s not. It’s about oppression that they have experienced. Agree or disagree, that is everyone’s right.

I was hopeful that wouldn't come here with the same ole tired positions as most of the others On here. But you fit the same mode as most of the others. Am disappointed.

We need to stop using terms like 'white community' and 'black community'. Those are terms invented by the left to keep us divided and attack each other.

We are all Americans.
The worst thing that could ever happen to the democratic party is to have what they CLAIM they want for black people and that would be complete racial equity, complete financial equity, complete educational equity and complete respect and dignity to that of any other race. They don't want this because a huge voting block would dry up. The dems are truly the racists for what they claim they want for blacks and what they really want. Want proof? Why do they attack black conservatives who have dared to leave the reservation and call them Uncle Tom's. A life like Dr Carson's should be celebrated with the obstacles he had in his life to become a renowned pediatric surgeon, but he can't even go on most college campuses to give a speech. Joe Biden is certainly an example of the racism that exists when a black person is not allowed to freely choose the ideology they want. In Joe Biden's world, if you are black, you have to vote Democrat or you ain't black. No racism there, eh?

Ah, the ole “I’m not a racist, you’re the racist.” strategy. How predictable.

May be predictable but it was truthful. Can't argue against what he said unless you blindly want to.
I won’t argue that there aren’t racists on both sides. But that’s not what he said. “It’s the Dems that are truly the racists.” That’s willful ignorance.

That is true. Drew Brees has a choice. However, it was made clear to him that his choice could very well cost him more than he realized.

How would you feel about this?

A young black woman works for a fortune 500 company as an accountant. She wants to peacefully march in protest for BLM on her day off. Her peers trash her to the point where she realizes that if she remains true to herself, her career will likely stall if not outright end if she follows through.

Would that be ok?

KJ, racism is not practiced in the democratic party as most people think of racism. A person might define racism as an attitude of a person in one race feeling superior to another person in another race say because of skin color. This is not the kind of racism I accuse the democratic party of, with of course individuals from any and all parties having those kind of racists.

My accusation of racism directed to the party is using racism as a weapon, a smear tactic toward their opponents. Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals is the democratic playbook and has been for decades and more so even today. Racism has never been used as much as it is today by the democratic party to counter policy differences. Racism is shouted all day every day for virtually everything. Not only is Trump called a racist by so were Romney and McCain when they ran.

Do I think Joe Biden is a racist in the most common way racism is thought of? No. But race seems to be on his mind quite a bit and some of the things he has said are a bit disturbing. I think many blacks were offended with his comment that if you don't vote for him, you're not black. But what he said about Obama back in 2007 is startling to say the least, regarding attitude. In describing the candidates running, he described Obama as follows:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Can you be any more patronizing than that? Talk about low expectations.

See if rules 5 and 11 might be lessons learned well on racism as a tactic.
I will compliment the dems on weaponry. They're good at it. When I posed the thread starter of why do blacks vote for dems over 90%, I think I have the answer.

The Rules
  1. "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."
  2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people."
  3. "Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy."
  4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."
  5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."
  6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."
  7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag."
  8. "Keep the pressure on."
  9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."
  10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
  11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside."
  12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."
  13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

Not true about Brees. He merely said he now understands why some choose to kneel, not that he would. That he respects their choice.

On the second, of course not. I’m in favor of individual choice. That’s where you seem to be conflating two different concepts.

I learned at a very early age I'm 1/4 victim, house boy, token, "white boy", traitor and Uncle Tom. I'm 1/8 lazy. Guess who I learned this from. You guessed it.

Joe Biden is a plantation cracker. He's no good for minorities. We tried him and his pal for 8 years. Look where that got us.

We can agree to disagree how Brees' mind was changed. His legacy was on the line and more than likely it would have ended his career immediately. At best he would have been rock that his team would have broken on had he not relented. He was under tremendous pressure.

No friend, I'm for individual choice. I wouldn't have shamed Brees or the hypothetical black woman for their choice. I'm unwilling to race bait or pressure people to act a certain way. I'm willing to try reason but once I see that failing, I wish you luck instead.

Spare us. You’re one of the biggest race baiters on here. You don’t speak for everyone.

I humbly have to kind of disagree with you here, and let me try and explain. His first comments, to me, were spot on. However, the intent and the firmness of his attitude wavered. He talked the talk but didn't walk the walk simply because all the BS about his kin fighting didn't ignite enough passion to stand up to the ridicule, the backlash, he suddenly was faced with. If his conviction was intensely true to his heart, he would have stood his ground. I would have admired him rolling in the muck and mire afterwards. And that's sad on my part because it's his life. But he, as a man of God, should have rested more upon Christ to weather this storm because I think he could have been a huge armament against this racist crisis crap we as a nation are going through. He would have had a huge army of support but instead never let that play out. If you're in the spotlight and have power behind your words you can go far. He had it and now he looks like a coward, and I think he is. Love his heart but it was snowflaky and foundationless.

Baseless racist charges is M. O. for the left. You seem to be the only one here that doesn't get it. Who among us is surprised?
And denying, or downplaying, racism is the MO for the Right. But that’s not my point. Your pretending to be the spokesperson for all races is the point. You’re not.

Drew initially grew a set, then he quickly got neutered by the money-bags guy.....
When $$$ is your gawd, then you have to follow the money...
He has all the money he could ever use. Some people are just willing to acknowledge their blind spots.

BS-C911 - The Right and racism is BS. o_O
Lincoln was a Republican, and the Dim-Moe-Rats shot him.
The KKK are Dim-Moe-Rats from beginning to end.
And now they have the KKK's public PR replacements, ANTIFA & BLM.
Thet have taken the KKK more underground, but hold them in reserve if needed.

No, your only point is the one sticking up off your head.

Trump has done more for race relations than Oduma who only created divisive strife.
