Last time we faced a frosh QB we gave up 400 yards. I would love to see a better showing today, but not holding out a lot of hope.
Eric Gray is a really good RB and their O-line is pretty good as well. Bailey was a highly touted QB and if our guys don't come ready to play they give us some trouble. We should be able to score a lot on their defense, though. It's still always tough to win on the road in the SEC.
I could very easily see us come out slow YET again and them put up 4 TDs in the first half. It would not surprise me with my luck.

wveryone knows that Auburn is talented, but a roller coaster. Have been for years.
And of course TAMU is talented but they really aren't dominant. They can be exploited. We just had a bad defensive showing and fumbled the ball on a drive that would have tied the game.
Not likely. Dan Mullen doesn't let our team enter opposing team's locker rooms after what happened to us at ATM. So they come dressed for the game from the hotel and have very brief warmup periods. You've seen how slow we have been in 1st halves of the last several games.
That and everyone else got to face Guarantano this year and enjoy Tennessee's futility under him. What the hell might happen if UcheaT actually HAS a good QB with that freshman and can put points on the board. NOBODY wants to see that I assure you and that's my fear because our secondary is rather crap this year.

We do like to fool around with pick plays but that wasn't one. I'm not even sure that was anything beyond running a slant and two guys being there so you have to push through.

If the receiver just runs a slant route, runs through the DB and holds up his hand for the ball, it's TD and no call. Instead, he posted up like a center in the paint and cupped his balls. That's a horrible technique. Even at that, shitty call, running back was already down the sideline free. Another BS call inconsequential to the action on the field.

Empty set trask sees a 4 man box he has to take off running. They are running 2 man coverage so numbers tell you no one has the QB.
Run THROUGH the slant route. Worst case? UT gets a flag for defensive holding. Some plays need a little acting to be successful. But you are right. It was a BS call in any event. Didn't affect the play on the field other than a UTCHEAT call.
It's becoming evident that we were the most prepared and ready to go team (at least on offense) to start the season, and with time and practice, others are catching up to us.
3 receivers into the boundary vs a cornerback trask gets sacked. Throw a quick route where you have numbers. Such a lackadaisical team. Oline has gotten worse.
Great play call and execution on the TD. Loaded the backfield and utk dug in to stop the run. Easy pitch and catch
