I don't think you can quantify that, and I can't find a study that cites GM trucks are more reliable than RAM or Toyota. I don't know much about RAM but I certainly didn't know how popular they are before looking it up.More Chevy s on the road for longer than any truck on the planet. Again, watch what the people drive that use them in their jobs as tools. Toyota has been building trucks for a little over 3 decades. They are WAY, WAY behind.
But Toyota isn't behind, they're serving a different market segment. If you want a reliable truck that can haul stuff and don't need to pull heavy loads they're a great choice. Towing capacity starts with frame strength, you really think the Japs can't make a stronger frame truck?
Like I said, landscapers, repair and remodelers, "chuck in a truck" contractors are all fine using Tundras as work trucks. If you need to haul equipment or pull horses, they don't have the towing capacity.
And if you want to talk popularity with the trades Ford takes that mantle easily.
