On Thursday, Gators athletics director Scott Stricklin addressed the University of Florida Board of Trustees to provide members initial details on how the UAA will bring student-athletes back to campus.

According to Florida Gators reporter Chris Harry, UF is preparing for its season openers in soccer (Aug. 21), volleyball (Aug. 28) and football (Sept. 5) as scheduled and the current plan is for those games to be played with fans in attendance.

How many fans is still to be determined by medical experts.

"What will our venues look like once those games are played? That's a popular question and one for which there is no clear answer," Stricklin said. "Our goal is to accommodate as many Gator fans as UF Health and state health officials deem appropriate. My sense today, in early June, is that the more time we allow to gather information and receive further medical guidance, the better the chances we have to engage as many fans as possible on campus this fall. By early August, we should have a better idea what fan attendance can look like.

"We are very much looking forward to the day when we can all be together and celebrate Gator athletics."
