Staff picked up a JUCO DB via Mizzou

With a better roster and 2 new coaches in the secondary, I look for them to return to DBU status.
This, along with the improved DT group, should return the defense to it's normal levels.

LB and DE-BUCK are also solid, so they will likely hold up their end of things in run defense and getting after the opposing QB's.

Maybe not team championship levels in 2021, but better than most in the media are projecting, with a decent chance to repeat as the SECe champs. After that, who knows how far they can go.

Wonder why he left Mizzou after just 4 months?
Maybe he just got tired of having everyone saying 'Show Me.'
😁

#15 CB Julian Humphrey 6-1 185 4.3/40 **** - Natl.128/247 - Houston, TX
Offers: UF-- Ark-LSU-Miz-TN-aTm--BU-GaT-Mia-PSU-USC-Wash-Wis, etc.

247's Blake Alderman on new commitment Julian Humphrey:
"He's the first commitment for Florida this cycle in the secondary. Florida's trying to switch some things from last year. Obviously the secondary, you can start at the top. Two changes at secondary coaching positions. Kind of a change in, I guess scheme, if you will, where they kind of played more off last season where you saw them giving some cushion. Florida's really doing more press man (now).

He's a 10.55 100-meter, and a 21.17 200-meter in track, so he's got some speed, he's physical. If you watch his film, not a lot of plays given up over the top for him. ..You've got speed, you've got a guy that's handsy that can cover well. I think that's what you really like.

How about a Staff pickup itself. The iG is happy to have him on staff to help Dan.

The Florida Gators will add former Connecticut and Syracuse head coach Paul Pasqualoni to their staff as a special assistant to head coach Dan Mullen. Pasqualoni, 70, most recently spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions from 2018-19. Lions head coach Matt Patricia called Pasqualoni "one of the best men I’ve ever been around" following his departure.

Huh. Dan was a grad assistant under him at Syracuse in 98. And previously they were both coaching in New York at different places.

interesting.

also, this happened 11 months ago.
