I haven't seen this discussed much, but what do posters here think about the QB and defensive leader wearing helmets with speakers as per the NFL? I think it can be great if the coaches decide on the play early (the mike will be turned off at 15 second mark or when ball is snapped if in hurry up mode). But with the new rule of unlimited staff and analysts on the field as well as a new rule that a team can have 18 tablet computers to help coaches analyze the game, could there be a problem with too many cooks in the kitchen? And will all coaches, staff etc have headphones so they can listen to the play calls and make sure all of their position players are on the same page?
Obviously the QB will have the speaker helmet, but who do you think will be wearing the "green dot" on defense?
Did the gators use this system in spring practice and the orange + blue game?
