A LOT over the last month, combined with our really good RB play, they are the reason we have won the last 3 games realistically.. Not the defense, nor our Kicker or special teams.. It's been the run game and OL up front
When was the last time we just lined up and the other team knew what was coming with literally all 11 in the box stuffed and we still ran it with success? 2012? Our New OL coach is making a difference with that unit outside of the confusion from the first game and the Michigan bear fronts..
Vandy and UK had all eleven in the box multiple times over the last few weeks and KNEW we were running it right at them even without a lead blocker in the backfield, and the RB's have been really good reading the zones and being shifty with their feet. Especially Malik Davis, that kid is All American, All-SEC material already as a true Frosh... I loved him coming out of HS a little under the radar, but sheesh we got a freakin flat out STEAL with this kid...
Need to watch the film again to see what we attacked in depth on offense and who did what, but the short yardage plays stick out live during games now, these guys don't get whipped backwards every single down in those situations like we've dealt with over the last 5 years... They move the other line back and give our RB's holes on 4th and 3rd and short yardages.. And in the redzone, we just flat out ran it at them every time and even on 3rd downs we just ran draws to pick up 5 and got 10 plus, multiple times. Good Job OL
