--Overall, the event had a lot of really, really, really young athletes there. A decent number of players' parents, family, coaches, etc. were in the stands watching on.
--Among the current Gators I saw in attendance in The Swamp tonight for at least some point in time: Jonathan Bullard, Alex Anzalone, Brian Poole, Jake McGee, Marcus Maye, Jeremi Powell, Marcell Harris, Tyler Jordan, Andrew Ivie, CeCe Jefferson, T.J. McCoy, Fred Johnson, Nick Washington, and walk-ons Jack Spicer, Marcus Givens and Jacob Tilghman. Johnson is a really tall kid, even wearing sandals.
--Florida commit Chauncey Gardner was there, chatting it up with current players and staff, wearing a white Florida polo and a big silver chain.
--Bills WR Sammy Watkins was there for his younger cousin who was participating in the camp. Sat with Poole for a good stretch in the stands and chatted it up. Afterwards, some campers and other fans took their pictures with Watkins.
--On the big screen, UF advertised the past players it has coached who have made it to the NFL, as well as some of its current standouts. Florida also advertised some current and former NFLers members of the staff have previously coached at past stops.
--Music there was predominantly hip-hop, but all styles of it (I heard maybe one really pop-ish song the whole time I was there — "Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)" by Omi). "Trap Queen," "Know Yourself," "Dirt Off Your Shoulder," you know the deal — some good hype-up music.
--At the end, the players met at mid-field for about 2 minutes and Jim McElwain thanked all of them for coming out and gave his motivational speech. It was hard to hear some parts, but I heard him call The Swamp one of the greatest places in America.
