Once again, Rosenstein defied Congress' request for a meeting. This is about the 3rd time he's told them to stick it.

There is a rumor out there, I don't buy it, that Rosenstein is working with Trump. I don't buy it, but I do find it curious that he does this just 2 days after meeting with Trump.

Plus, Trump has the FISA warrant declass he could play at any time, but he hasn't yet.

The media and dems want Trump to fire Rosenstein. If he did, Mueller would likely claim Obstruction of Justice, and it would breath new life into his investigation, which has been dead for a while.

Trump isn't taking the bait. But he's also sitting on declassing the documents that are rumored to be so bad that Rosenstein will apparently be forced to resign when they come out.

Like I said, I don't buy the idea that Rosenstein is working with Trump, but there's something going on behind the scenes that we can't see...

The DOJ that was created by Congress and is NOT a 4th branch of gubmint as Judge Napolitano tried to tell me on Fox and Friends. Congress who is elected by people has over site authority on the agency they created. Rosenstein needs to be forced to testify under oath

I did not hear judge Nap but it surprises me that he would said or even intimated that the DOJ is a 4th branch. It is the congress that has the oversight responsibility as created by the founders, not the DOJ. But if the dems take the house next month, all of any current investigations are dead and they will create a brand new set of them.

Yes Congress either needs to move to impeach him, or stop asking him for documents and to testify. He always defies them, and Congress does nothing. Makes them look incredibly weak.

Pretty interesting thread from @DrawandStrike (he believes Sessions and Trump are working together) https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1050187510750617600.html

"Don't miss the point: it was ROSENSTEIN who thwarted all of McCabe's attempts to go after Trump, to go after Sessions, and then his attempt to maintain control of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

McCabe has his teeth pulled, held in a cage until he could be fired."

Hmmmm....almost seems to be suggesting that Rosenstein was purposely keeping McCabe from going after Trump. One thing's for certain; Rosenstein and McCabe did NOT like each other.

I remember hearing about this but totally forgot about it.....

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/10/us/politics/us-attorney-justice-department-trump.html

Trump nominated Rosenstein to be DAG on February 1st, 2017.

On March 10, 2017, Jeff Sessions told 46 obama-era prosecutors to resign. INCLUDING Rosenstein.

Rosenstein tried to resign, Trump REFUSED his resignation. On April 25, 2017, Congress confirmed Rosenstein as DAG overwhelmingly.

Two weeks later, he fired Comey.

Hmmmmmm.......

So let's play the hypothetical game: What if Trump is using both Sessions and Rosenstein to bring down the Deep State?

Media loves Sessions, think he's keeping insane Trump in check. Media loves Rosenstein even more, think he's leading investigation to prove Trump colluded with Russia, impeccable character.

What if......Rosenstein holds press conference, says the Mueller investigation is concluded, here's the findings: Trump did nothing wrong, but here's the deep staters that WERE colluding with our enemies.

Rosenstein then hands findings over to Sessions, who proceeds with indictments.

Question: Why hasn't Trump even called for an investigation into claims that Rosenstein tried to have him impeached? Trump has publicly acted like he could care less.

Still not sure I buy the idea that Rosenstein is working with Trump (willingly or not), but I will admit, it's starting to look more plausible.
