Watching that game for Miami fans had to feel like the Michigan game for us. Getting beat up and completely pantsed and humiliated in a showcase game by a pretty good but not great opponent.

Nice first weekend for the SEC. Ole Miss, Bama, LSU and Auburn with good ooc wins.

Richt is what he is. Decent coach but never meets expectations and doesn’t really have that killer instinct attitude.

He reminds me of another Coach of the late 90s early 2000s by the name of Tony Dungy. I can say he compares to Tony in many ways. The Defensive players from the 2002 Bucs team has said many times over and over that Tony always held his Defensive players accountable but he never held the Offense to the same standard as the defense. IMHO that Mark is like this in many ways, he would have a good Defense but he never has held his offenses to the same standard. Muschamp is like this also in many ways!!!

He's going to win 8-10 games every year. It was enough for Georgia for 15 years, but they wanted more. How long will Miami wait?

Not surprised by the U's collapse. They won a bunch of close games last year against bad teams by getting turnovers. Those generally even out over time. Rosier is a bad qb. Their side of the conference is pretty bad so they might win it though.

They should have known better than to schedule that game this early as their home games will literally be in an empty stadium now.

Miami was overrated headed in. They lost three straight games to end last year and then lost some of their better players. They’ll be a solid top 25 team but they shouldn’t have been ranked top 10 to start with. They just had their first 10-win season last year since 2003 and won their division for the first time since joining the conference. Richt has them ahead of schedule.

Agree on being ahead of schedule. He’s got them choking right out of the gate rather than waiting until the end of the season.

We actually had some amazing, record setting offenses with Richt, especially with Murray and Gurley. We just couldn't put it all together. He didn't put a premium on OL's or special teams and we would sh!t the bed annually in a game we had no business losing. His attention to detail isn't close to Smart's.
