So...are we all just gonna sit here and ignore the fact that UGA fired their recruiting coordinator?

Yeah, just sit here and watch to see if he made a successful hand-off of the bag,,, to the next bagman.

The one fired had the bag.
The one suspended was prolly the on campus ho & licker distributor... :D:D:D

The timing of this screams a violation/s has occurred and the scape goat has been fired. With the new Georgia FOIA law, we will have to wait at least 90 days before we get an explanation.

Gonna be tough to replace...

Well, it’s highly unlikely they were disciplined for ineffective recruiting....;)

If recruiting violations were the cause it would have made sense to announce an internal investigation at the same time (or even better, the self reporting of any such violations) and get all the bad publicity out there at the same time, and get it over and done with....

I’d venture to guess an inappropriate workplace relationship is behind this...
I'm hearing no on the relationship fwiw.

Probably for leaving a paper trail.

What the hell is up with her pants? Looks like a pair of nuts hanging in front and possibly that she is also dressing left.
Lol, yeah I see that now. Kinda weird. She’s nice to look at so I left out the details. That can get someone in trouble. Do you see an Adam’s apple?

Nah. Surely she is a she. It's just the picture is weird.

I call bullcrap on all of this. They have been violating the rules with regards to recruiting from the day Beaver got there. It's no secret, everyone knows about it. (with all due respect just about every college does to some degree) My brother sent me the newspaper article from up in Alpharetta where he lives where they did a half page article about The Pecan Payroll and it's implications for if/when Georgia gets caught by the NCAA.

There is no secret about what's going on there. There hasn't been. When you look at the number of 5* recruits who have magically turned and signed with them at the last moment in the past 4 years, all you can do is think about Ole Miss under Hugh Freeze. How does an upper-middle of the pack SEC school all of a sudden start signing #1 recruiting classes in the first time in it's entire collegiate history, and not once but in back to back years. That doesn't happen with a FIRST TIME HEAD COACH. I could see that if they hired someone with a name that sounds like Sick Naban of course, but not with a nobody off of the street.

Seriously, don't act like The Pecan Payroll is all of a sudden news to anyone's ears.

You mad, bro? Suddenly we have gone from Georgia always having top classes under Richt to unprecedented recruiting under Kirby. You’d think we were sending illegals to sanctuary cities or something. Got proof? Call the NCAA compliance office.

You mean like 5* Laremy Tunsil flipping from Georgia to Ole Miss at the last minute?

Come on, man. I definitely think Kirby is in over his head as a coach, but unless he decided to start cheating when he got to Georgia, he's not doing anything like what you are implying here. Kirby busts his ass and is actually a great recruiter.

That's how Georgia gets good recruits.

That was under Richt. Look I’m not gonna sit here and act like UGA pays every recruit or that they’re the only school doing it, but I’ve said on here I know first hand of two instances where they offered benefits to recruits. That’s just from last years class. All the big boys pay, UF included. The only difference is what level. UGA isn’t taking recruits from schools known to pay just because Kirby works hard, most coaches don’t become successful HC’s by being lazy, they all work hard.

Clemson and Dabo has the clean shtick down pat yet their basketball coach just got caught on a wire tap discussing how the football program uses benefits for their recruiting. Nobody is clean at the highest levels of recruiting. Especially the most successful teams.

If you know that Georgia COACHES did this, then contact the NCAA. I'm betting you don't. All schools have idiot boosters that do idiotic things.

But Kirby wasn't a cheater in Tuscaloosa. Maybe he became one after going to Athens, but I doubt it.

That's just a technicality. Of course the coaches didn't do it, no coach is dumb enough to be tied directly to any illegal activity. Which is why stuff like the basketball payoffs are only coming out via FBI wiretap. They keep degrees of separation. But if you think the coaches don't condone it you don't understand big boy recruiting.

And like I said I'm not singling them out because I'm 100% certain UF does too. One of my best friends played under Meyer and I know what he got. All the top schools offer benefits. Kids were getting cars and homes back in the 80's when college football wasn't the multi-billion dollar industry it is now and you think teams aren't paying? Kirby isn't going into places like Ohio and taking 5-stars from Ohio State just because he works hard. And Ohio State pays big time, they were JUST on probation for exactly that not even 5 years ago.

Ever heard of phillip fulmer?

Hugh Freeze?

Bruce Pearl?

And it's not 'illegal' to offer benefits to recruits.

All schools have boosters that do dumb things. A few schools have coaches that work with those boosters to facilitate them doing dumb things.

I don't think Kirby is one of those coaches. But if you know differently, absolutely contact the NCAA, they will take your call.

I should have said no smart coach allows themselves to get directly involved. They're paid millions and have a pulse on every aspect of their program, they keep degrees of separation exactly so they can fall back on the rogue boosters BS. Everyone involved knows how the game is played.

I said it already. It was for recruiting violations. UGA probably won’t get any penalties or anything but that is what occurred.
