I really don't understand the thought processes of missing work or school for the dead when you aren't even a friend of the family (much less a distant relative). It was tragic and awful but I've still got bills to pay and a life to live. My Father passed away and I went back to work the day after his funeral. I needed to get away from the sadness, not completely meltdown collapse from it.
