Looks like this may have teeth. I do not think this is applicable to FB or TW. But it coiuld apply to Paypal and other financial institutions that have interfered with otherwise legal transactions.

This stuff started under zer0 and is evidence that the IRS thing was real. Yet we are months out from the election and just now marshaling. The battle should have started at least 4 years ago.

Do you have Bitchute, gab and parler? I do not think we will have a physical "civil war" but we are already in a digital one and it has economically impacted conservative speakers. The also attempted to use it to stop gun sales.

The free speech alt to Patreon is SubscribeStar. Conservatives need to petition other conservatives and independents to start joining these sites. If the lawsuit at Patreon is successful it may bankrupt them but I hope they settle with an agreement that Patreon will allow any and all LEGAL transactions and get out of the SJW censorship game.

Then the biggest battle will IMO be the financial sites like Paypal and Square, as they are a road block to the alternative social media sites. As long as a transaction is LEGAL they should not be allowed to interfere.

I hope over time to see these other site prosper because upfront they were committed to the concept of free speech whereas Zuckatvrd, Dorkey and the google twins have always been leftists.

What were they doing, saying people couldn't fundraise for causes they didn't agree with?

The financial sites tried to destroy Gab by refusing to allow sponsors to donate to them or to allow any transactions. They have work arounds but in some cases it is just snail mail checks. Hard to grow in the digital age when transactions take 6 days.

Google/youtube will not allow you to run ads if say your websites comment section doesn't follow their speech rules. Paypal and Square have similar codes and if your business violates that then you are not allowed to bank with them.

Not that I am defending the man and his nonsense but Alex Jones even had his domain yanked. That is absolutely egregious. As long as what you do is legal and you pay your bill what you do with your domain is only your business. There are convoluted ways around that but why should someone have to deal with the technical hassles and limitations?
