The Advo-Care Invitational Teams in Orlando include:
UF, Seton Hall, Gonzaga, Quinnipac, IndSt, IoSt, Stanford, & Miami.

The challenge for Florida on Thursday night will be slowing down a 3-0 Seton Hall team that is averaging 88 pts/gm.

The 4-0 Gators have limited their 1st 4 opponents to an average of 60 points, while ranking in the Top 20 Nationally in turnovers forced at 18.5 per game.

GooooooooooooooGATORS!!!

he will never start to do anything differently, he's driskel, eternal players that never change no matter how much time goes by they are what they are in sports...

We are only favored by 2.5 and with Hill included being good for at least 10 points directly to the other team off of bricks and turnovers that will be trouble so it's more like us being 5-7 point dogs with the "over the Hill factor"... Can't wait to see how a team shoots against us when they already score that many a game against everyone else, we are career Curry days for teams behind the arc... This should be interesting to say the least, if we can't slow them down I don't know if we are good enough offensively to keep up with teams that can run and gun on offense we get to the line and can hit them like we have been and get offensive boards... Gonna need plenty on the boards on the other end too, they can make you pay it looks like if you give them extra opportunities. That's what killed Wichita state earlier against Louisville when I was watching it at the family's house...

No chance to win with these officials, he just moved out of the way and the ref gave them two free points to give Robinson his 3rd foul. Playing Kentucky only 6 games into the season

Hill turnover, 4 already in the 2nd half and ZERO points.

of all the one sided officiated games we always deal with that one might have literally taken them all to the woodshed, we just had every guy that mattered on our team foul out for GETTING OUT OF THE WAY on defense... Jesus christ how many more years have to go by before anyone says anything or does something? How do we even win in sports with this bullshit so constant?

Barry is an absolute monster and just won that game for us in the 2nd half, I think he just had 17 or 18 again. Guy is a flat out baller

Great win. The officials were too whistle happy and took a lot of the excitement out of the game. In spite of Hill's poor play and Robinson not playing much due to foul trouble, the team found a way to win. Barry & Allen came up big, but the whole team played hard to win in spite of an overall poor shooting night. Now let's see if they can beat Gonzaga tonight.

Reading the stats, it looks like the offense was just ok, the FT shooting was once again excellent, and the rest as a whole continues to have turnover problems, of course led by Hill.

Okay, I still like the guy, but I've finally seen enough. For whatever reason, Hill plays better coming in off the bench. For whatever reason he does, so continue to play him but do it coming in, not starting. And he does play tenacious defense and he keeps a good 'team' attitude.

It's becoming obvious after the 1st 5 games that Chris and Canyon need more of the playing time.

SG KeVaughn Allen 21 pts, 6 Rbs.
SF-SG Canyon Barry 20 pts, 6 Rbs, 2 Assts
PG Chris Chiozza 14 pts. -- fouled out
C John Egbunu 8 pts, 10 Rbs
SF/PF Justin Leon 7 Pts, 7 Rbs

SF Devin Robinson 5 pts, 3 Rbs, and fouled out with about 9 minutes left in the game.

Team FT's - 21 of 29 (72.4%)
==========

The zags are going to be a load tonight. They have 5 players that go from 6-11 to 7-1... wtf?

SH came in averaging 88 pts/gm.
The Gator's held them to 76 pts, 12 pts below their average.

The Gator's came into the game averaging 76.8 pts/gm.
The Gator's scored 81 pts against SH, for 4.2 pts above their average.

How did the Gators do vs Seton Hall? o_O

well seton hall plays bad defense we could have scored many more if we didn't miss so many open looks all night that rimmed out...

My glass is still half full, and the 1st half of it went down well.

Your glass looks to be half empty. Have you been around Michi lately??? :D

Hill playing worse than the start of last year. Coming off the bench seemed to settle him down last year. He might need another benching. He can't keep playing this many minutes if he's going to play like this.

Can Canyon Berry or Kevaughan Allen play PG is what I would like to know?

Watching the Seton Hall game tonight, the stat pops up for dude that had a career high last night with 28, has 2 points tonight at almost half time...

You can count on it in life that someone is gonna have it against us, it's amazing...

Do try to keep in mind that the 2016-17 Gators are sitting at 5-1, without a single home game to their name, and they just lost a close game against the 5-0 #11 team, on a neutral court, by just 5 points after leading the entire game until the Gag's tied it a 57 pts.

While I was hoping for a win, I'd have been very pleasantly surprised if they had pulled it off this early in the season. Barring unforeseen injuries or some other catastrophe, this is a Big Dance team again.

Allen has played some.

Problem with putting Allen or Barry at point is you're taking our best wing players off the wing. You want them touching the ball after some motion or coming off screens, looking to score. They are by far our best half court offensive players.

But Allen is our best player, and I really don't have a problem putting the ball in his hands however they do it. Particularly with Hill and Chiozza's limitations and inconsistencies.

Yeah it's a good start to the season. I think White has them playing their best ball. They're just going to struggle to score in half court.
