Coach Jim McElwain is still trying to balance out a roster that was out of whack when he took over. That has led to Florida having a ridiculous 18 freshman linemen on scholarship right now.
So you have a roster full of young, unproven linemen who might not be able to help out all that much this year, but will still be used against you as a detriment in recruiting (opposing coaches are going to show targets that UF has 10 freshmen offensive linemen and 9 defensive linemen and ask them if they think they can find a foothold in that numbers game).
With teams playing more and more nickel packages, having 8 linebackers isn't that bad - you would like to see more balance across the board.
Having but two scholarship quarterbacks (yes, I know Grady is listed as one as well, but come on) is problematic as well. That is playing a dangerous game.
The only position where you like the numbers and balance across the board is at defensive back.
