I know we joke a lot on this Board about a lot of silly things...but my heart is seriously breaking for all of those NCAA teams and seniors (both friends and foes alike) that will not get a chance to compete for a championship. This is truly a devastating situation for those kids and it is just so sad...

I bought 45 cases of toilet paper.... If any1 wants the hands they can get it, i walked out with each case head held high...Also, the death rate is not 3%. DR Fauci testified that it is actually 1% or much closer to that than the reported above 2%.

I agree but just becuz something is 10x more likely doesnt make it likely. If they want to shut everything down then it should be a nationwide shutdown. All schools, colleges, sporting events, and even traffic on the road. If thats what they want to do then fine. However, the misinformation and putting things like abortion in the bills for the corona virus is just stupid.

Higher but as people are tested the rate comes way down and is nothing like SARS. Some experts are claiming we have hundreds of thousands of cases already in the US but it's so mild to most people they aren't getting tested. Not really sure where reality lies with that.

The first rule in any crisis it to keep the masses calm. The media is using this virus to shape a narrative, the result it fear. Fear is a dangerous thing, it causes people to distrust each other. It causes people to fight over items. It causes the selfish nature of the masses to club each other over sanitizer, and toilet paper. The media is responsible for causing this, too many people act like scared little rabbits.

Put on your big boy pants, stop being selfish a-holes. That is the message we need. The media is doing the opposite because of things..... People need to stop this group think, do a little research.

I still dont think its something that will wipe out the planet at all....i think most will agree this only kills older people or people with compromised immune systems. The thing i think most dont understand is that we dont want this virus out there forever, mutating and turning into something extremely dangerous. I keep hearing the flu argument, yes, i understand, but ive been a big proponent of getting rid of the flu. If every1 self quarantined for a month or so, i think the flu would get whiped out. Why we havent done this is beyond me. I know most wouldnt which is why we havent as a govt enforced it but we should. Its the smart thing to do. The less viruses we have the better. Its 10x more deadly than the flu at worst or 30x more deafly at best. I get the arguments both ways but the smart thi g to do is to try and stomp the virus out ASAP..... And it might be to late for that tbh.

You're right, it's not. 83% of people who contract it have mild symptoms. That means they are more likely to go out into public and spread it. But if you don't think the media hype has been politically motivated to some degree then you are being intellectually dishonest.
