When 3rd and Grantham departed Georgia, Louisville and Florida, we all celebrated while you're still stroking his nads.
Grantham was awful. One of the worst guys to come through this program. He sounds like an awful human being and was a TERRIBLE coach on top of it.
Grantham was a talented one-trick pony who never evolved. There's a reason he became as successful as he did, but I also think that led to him having a lot of hubris and stubbornness about his abilities
Probably why he and Mullen connected so well.

I don't know Todd, or any of the rest of them for that matter. All I have is my own observations and the opinions derived from them. You'll have to refer to the professional nad strokers that have recently hired Todd.

Todd Grantham - The Coaching History of a total failure and the worst defensive coach in both NFL and collegiate history....
1990-1995 - VaTech began his coaching career. at his alma mater.
1996-97 - MichSt DL, Ast HC
1990-2001 - Grantham was hired by Jim Mora in 1998 to coach the defensive line. His D-Line was one of the catalysts of the biggest turnaround in league history (3–13 to 13–3), ultimately helping the Colts defense compile 56 sacks in two years, which was a club record since moving to Indianapolis. During his tenure in Indianapolis, the Colts had a 29–19 record.
Now, for the rest, just the years/jobs:
2002-2004 - Houston Texans DL
2005-07 - Cleveland Browns DC
2008-09 - Dallas Cowboys DL
2010-13 - UGly Ast HC, DC, OLB's
2014-16 - Louisville Ast HC, DC, LB's
2017 - MsSt Ast HC, DC, LB's
2018-21 - UF DC
But now, because some fans claim that he's so incompetent, he'll never coach again, except maybe for some know-nothing idiot, right?

Yes but even that blitz was poorly timed/schemed. I believe it was Donovan Stiner and when the ball is snapped he’s still 7-8 yards away from the LOS. He too far away. Compare Grantham’s blitz packages to Strong’s while he was at UF and it is night and day difference.

It’s honestly the only positive result defensive play sadgator can remember under Grantham.
Grantham’s defenses are predicated on having a stud pass rusher/DE that can get to the QB. If Grantham has to blitz or find other ways to try and pressure a QB he’s screwed. See the defense with Greenard vs without him.
Todd 3rd & Grantham is a total loser, so let's all bash him some more.

Yeah you’re right. He is a total loser. His defenses were the worst in UF history. He flat out sucked. You disagree? Why don’t you catch a bus to NO and offer to stroke him off and tell him it was all because UF’s president was woke. He’d probably be into it.
His job at bama was to bring saban coffee. Saints also hired zook so lets not get too excited about that....
I read through this and found it interesting. At the outset of his hiring at UF, I really thought Mullen would do very well for you guys. He did a great job at State, and I assumed with Florida's resources, recruiting base, etc that he would challenge UGA and Bama for SEC supremacy. State was 8-1 against UK during his tenure; excluding his time there we lead the series (now essentially tied).This confirms what we all knew. Long article though.
Paul Finebaum can go Fuchs himself for telling us how we're too patient with Napier while saying we weren't patient with Mullen after winning the SEC East.

The part about Mullen being attached Franks for too long was dead on. UK beats the Gators in Lexington in 2019 if Franks hadn't broken his leg and Trask coming in to rally the Gators to the win.
As an outsider, I thought the article was pretty much dead on in assessing the downfall of the Mullen era at UF. I remember you guys bitching about Grantham, but this article puts that into context and confirms the dysfunctionality he and the OL coach (Hevesy sp?) brought to the program.
In summary, this obviously shows that just because a guy succeeds at one place, doesn't mean he'll succeed at the next stop.

Fun fact.... until the late 1970s/early 1980s, UK actually had a winning record against the Gators. Obviously, since then, the two programs went on divergent paths...... although lately we have at least put a stop to the embarrassing losing streak. UK's 3-2 record over the past five games feels pretty good in comparison.
