What's happened is a little bit of the opposite of what I stated. UF starts hot, leads by 32, then calls it a night by playing down to their opponent.I think they'll be competitive for a while till our depth wears them out.

Florida IS the better team this year, but Bobby Hurley is a GREAT coach and a proven winner. His team is 2-time defending national champs and even though they're not the same team this year, they have the confidence and swagger to beat us if we let them. Are we going to be the team that won the SEC tournament or will we play like we did in Knoxville or in our loss to Georgia? Whether we go to the Sweet 16, to me, is completely up to our approach and attitude going into the game. It bmay not be pretty, but I predict the Gators prevail.

I agree and if we play our game Gators win. I doubt this will be a pretty game because UConn does not play pretty when an underdog. Hurley likes to mix it up and cause chaos Our big men will be tested for toughness.
UConn doesn't seem very dangerous from behind the arc. Their defensive game yesterday was a mug fest. Will be interesting to see what kind of defense for their big guy Golden will draw up tomorrow. I would attack their rim and foul his ass out or keep him on the bench with foul trouble.
Yes. Go back to us vs. Ohio State and Greg Oden. We sent not only Horford and Noah but Chris Richard as well to hound him constantly. He commented on it in the post game interview.
They went toe to toe with Okie and were tied with under 6 minutes left. They then pulled away to win.
But I DO want to point out that Okie was the thirteenth best SEC team this year. THIRTEENTH.
I'm watching the Arkansas/St. Johns game from the bottom 1/2 of the West bracket. Very physical game. Arkansas is starting to get some of their hurt players back and are playing well with a 3 point halftime lead as a #10 seed. St. Johns doesn't shoot it very well, but they are tenacious on the offensive boards and play excellent defense with a lot of turnovers.
Arkansas is hanging on but their just too inept long term, St. Johns won't keep shooting 7% from 3 and awful from the field either, Arkansas should have had a bigger lead with the foul trouble Johnnies had too early.. Arkansas just simply can't score enough and probably can't beat this team with Thiero still out, he would be a MASSIVE piece to them being able to win a physical game like this.. Arkansas gets too stagnant and turnover prone in Cal's outdated offense, Brazille and Big Z would have to play really well in the 2nd half for this to keep up.. St. Johns is a 2nd half team and will start making more shots.. That guard #1 for Arkansas is gonna have to win this game for them

This is not exactly the first time Creighton has made a little noise in the tournament. It was Creighton who took out a 5th UF team in 2 OT in 2002. This pretty much started the idiot fans to call Billy D, one and done Donovan. Many of our own even suggested Donovan be fired, even during the 2005-2006 season.
That had to be the worst shooting game I have seen in many, many years. St Johns couldn't out shoot a C League Church team and Arkansas was almost as bad.
