If LSU loses, it should cement a Big 6 bowl for us. I think we get one now, but with 3 SEC teams ahead of us, we might get left out. But an LSU loss would put us ahead of them, and we should be GTG.

Might be in the minority but I don't want a NY6 bowl, we aren't on that level yet. I'm 100 fine playing some scrub Big 10 team in the Gator Bowl, getting a win, and keep building. Our time to play in those games is coming.

I’d like to play in a NY6 bow. If the staff and players deserve it then so be it. We already way way exceeded expectations.

Wowser. LSU pulled a classic Kentucky move and let A&M tie the game at the end of regulation.

The premature Gatorade bath celebration to their coach did them in, huh? That was a long time (16 years) for karma to pay back a team.

Recall 2002 UK-LSU,

Now 2018 LSU-Texas A&M (see at 1 min mark of Orgeron getting the Gatorade bath):

LSU probably stays one spot in the rankings in front of us but we both will get a New Years 6 game. KY is probably the team that gets left out but has an argument they should be in over other teams.

Their good wins will be better than LSU and us probably when Bama beats Georgia most likely and with Missouri looking to enter the top 25 this week.

I wasn't anticipating a 7 OT game when I posted that we would pass them, so I don't disagree with you. However, if we get the Citrus and they get the Fiesta, when we have the same record and we beat them, I will not be pleased. Even if we could win the Citrus and the Fiesta matchup is one where we have no chance, I still want the Fiesta. Early signing period is before the bowl game, and the cache of getting the Fiesta in Mullen's first year is going to impress recruits. And even if the bowl game turns out badly, we can tell regular signing period recruits that we got that far with guys not suited to the scheme, so think about how good we will be when we have really talented players out there.

All I'm saying is being in the Fiesta while FSU sits at home shows a HUGE gap between the programs, while being in the Citrus or Outback isn't nearly as impressive. So if we get hosed by LSU, whom we beat and have the same record as, I will not be happy.

I just want to avoid UCF even if they aren't nearly as good without that QB but it seems likely that will be our game if they can beat Memphis somehow. I think they will avoid having us play LSU again. If UCF loses that might get us an interesting opponent. Not sure I would like to catch Washington St. with how they can air it out.

Beating UCF would give us clear dominance of the state. I get why you wouldn't want them, a loss would be SUPER embarrassing, but without the hotshot QB playing its unlikely we lose.

We wouldn’t lose to UCF but we won’t play them anyways. Nobody outside of the state of Florida would want to see that game. The bowl games are going to want matchups that will draw a larger viewership, etc.

I think the 2 at large bowls will be UF-UCF and LSU-Washington State if UCF wins. If Oklahoma or OSU lost it would throw them in that mix also (or Michigan) and kick someone out.

Like I said, A&M is the team that worries me going forward, not Georgia. Anytime Orgeron is on the field, the other team has a shot.

Ha... I was there for the infamous Bluegrass Miracle. My lovely wife the LSU fan was gracious enough not to rub it in...

I was also in attendance for the 7OT game between UK and Arky the following season, so I’m well-schooled in heartbreak football.

I wish Guy Morriss had stuck around UK longer, would have liked to have seen what he could have done there.
